Dede

This show is the biggest romance drama to hit Akwaaba Magic and the best thing is that you can catch up on all 240 episodes in one night. Yes, 240 episodes of romance, drama, action, suspense, and everything you think your partner will love.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Directed and produced by multi-award-winning Ghanaian filmmaker Shirley Frimpong-Manso, her first-ever telenovela – Dede follows the story a naïve rural girl, whose big dreams are cut short when she’s “sold off” by her stepmother to work as a domestic help in the home of the wealthy Robertson family. There she falls in love with the youngest Robertson son, and this ignites all shades of drama in her life.

Binge all 240 episodes (and counting) on Showmax.

To Have and To Hold

Another fan-favourite in on Akwaaba Magic is the drama series To Have and To Hold which explores the struggles of women in modern Ghana as they juggle friendships, romantic relationships, and careers.

The series stars Lydia Forson as the ambitious and career-driven ‘Akosua’, whose marriage of 10-years turns out to be a lie; Naa Ashorkor as the kind and trusting housewife ‘Enyonam’; and fashion icon Zynnell Zuh as ‘Kuukua’, a go-getter with a taste for the finer things in life.

This show is directed by legendary Ghanaian filmmaker Ivan Quashigah

Binge all the 26 episodes of To Have and To Hold now, just before the premiere of season two.

Sankofa

"Sankofa" as the name suggests in the context of the show "Take me back" is a reality show designed for relationships, where the Host and Fixers set out to rekindle broken relationships.

It’s not easy saying I’m sorry, but with a beautiful surprise and help from the Sankofa team, getting your love back might not be that hard after all. However, what we love about this show is not just the love stories and rekindling old flames, but seeing families get back together after years of separation.

You think you’ll love all the drama and ‘aww’ moments on Sankofa? Bing watch here.

Co-Habits

Not sure if moving in with your partner before marriage is a good idea? Follow Kudwoe and Lily’s story on Co-Habits to learn a thing or two while laughing your lungs out in every scene.

Directed by Peter Sedufia, Co-Habits stars Fiifi Coleman, Caroline Sampson and Jackie Ankrah, Jeffrey Nortey and Haillie Sumney.

Trust us, you’ll love it. Watch now on Showmax.

Date My Family Ghana

Finding love is not an easy chore, especially when it takes you through the road of meeting a potential partner through the eyes of their family. Date My Family Ghana – from the Date My Family franchise is a dating reality series that follows bachelors/bachelorettes as they attempt to find love with three potential dates. Be warned, it’s not your typical dating reality show as the singles’ friends and family are involved in the matchmaking and things can go from 100-0 real quick! Binge here.

Enjoy these Valentine’s Day-centric shows and thank us later!
