It's that time of year again, folks! Workers’ Day is here and we're taking a look at the top professions showcased on Africa Magic shows. And boy, do we have a range of professions! From lawyers that look like they just walked off the cover of Vogue, and politicians who swear they are going to make the lives of the people better while juggling a different scandal every day of the week, to bar owners who know how to mix drinks and secrets like it's nobody's business, we've got them all.
So, without further ado, let's dive into the top six professions that keep our Africa Magic shows buzzing with excitement.
Lawyers
When it comes to lawyers on Africa Magic, we've got more than a few briefcases full of them! From the slick-suited Peter and fashionable Ezinne on the legal drama, Eve, to the never-ending stream of law-wielding characters on Venge and The Johnsons, it's safe to say that the law profession has held a monopoly on the screen. These legal eagles know how to make a case, and their impeccable fashion sense will leave you guilty of envy! With all that power and influence, they're practically the superheroes of the small screen. Just don't get on their bad side, unless you want to end up as the defendant in their next big case.
Security Operatives
The next profession that holds sway on almost all our shows is security operatives. You can't help but find someone in this line of work – from the police to anti-corruption officials, bouncers, and even henchmen (the guys who make sure everyone stays in line, even if it means a few bruises and broken bones), this profession is a goldmine across most of our shows. You are sure to find a lot of them on shows like Venge, Dilemma, and Covenant.
Politician
Politics is one of the most prominent professions on Africa Magic, and for good reason too. Whether they're making promises they can't keep, engaging in secret affairs, or just generally causing chaos, our beloved politicians are always up to something. With formidable characters like MKI, Nkechi, Fatimah, Milicent, and GJG from Covenant, all with their hands in the political cookie jar, it's no surprise that politicians hold such sway on our screens.
Hospitality
Let's not forget the best part of any TV show; the fun places to hang out. And who manages these spots? None other than our lovable or shrewd restaurant, bar, and club managers. We have Sphinx, managed by Madam Tatianna from Dilemma, and restaurants managed by Abulu from The Johnsons and Willie from My Flatmates. Looks like hospitality managers are the "in" thing these days.
Journalists
Oh, we have quite a lot of them, and they're not afraid to get their hands dirty. Whether they're taking down crime syndicates or grilling shady characters like Hundeyin does on Covenant, these reporters mean business. And let's not forget the sassy Purity, always serving up the latest scoop like it's hot off the press. With such formidable characters, it's no wonder that journalism is such a prominent profession in the Africa Magic universe.
Real estate developers
This is yet another elite profession for some of the cast members of our hot shows. One character that stands out in this profession is Santiago from Covenant. He's a fast-rising young real estate developer and the owner of Mi Casa Su Casa by Santiago, a luxury real estate brand. It's a nice profession, even though his real job is acting as a front for the money laundering activities of the high and mighty.
And there you have it; the top six professions on Africa Magic shows. Of course, there are also worthy mentions like scientists, doctors, and even drug lords and hitmen like Williams from Venge. Although we don't recommend those last two professions, we can't deny that they make for some pretty intense viewing.
