The Big Brother Naija Show Ya Sef house witnessed its first set of evictions of the season: Martins left first, but Mercedes' exit was one that stunned the housemates so much it lingered even after the live show.
The live eviction show began with Ebuka looking back on week two in the house, spotlighting their wager task preparation and presentation. Then came a house crossing where Ebuka put HoH Sheba on the hot seat. Sheba was questioned about her time as HoH, her emotional outbursts, and how she found the experience as a whole — in her own words, being head of house comes with "a lot of pressure."
Chimsom Chuka is the Most Influential Person of the Week (MIPOW)
Following the house crossing, Chimsom Chuka was announced to the house as the first Most Influential Person of the Week, a win that snagged him immunity from next week's eviction. Biggie, however, wasn't done keeping the housemates and the audience on their toes — HoH Sheba was put on the spot yet again and asked by Biggie to reveal who she'd saved with her HoH veto power: she chose Chimsom Chuka.
Martins' time in Biggie's house comes to an end
The season's first eviction was met with shock from the housemates and the man himself. Martins described his eviction as sad, but the experience overall as amazing, and he's looking forward to using his new platform well.

Age dynamics stir up drama
Ebuka headed back into the house for another house crossing, this time to speak to the housemates about the ongoing age conversation. Tram was chosen to speak on the issue; he opened up about feeling discredited by some housemates, specifically Nomy, because of his age, while applauding Ricky for making him feel welcome despite their age difference.
Mercedes bows out
Then came the second and final eviction of the night. Mercedes bid farewell to the Show Ya Sef housemates and joined Ebuka on stage. Although not thrilled about her eviction, she's proud of how she showcased herself in the house and is looking forward to what's next, with big global plans for her future.
