Adanna and Nnanna's love was guaranteed to weather any storm, including the current one they are facing; both are locked up and separated from each other because Ojigijaga had demanded that Adanna surrender herself to the gods and join the acolytes, which she rejected and settled for running away with Nnanna however they got caught along the way.
Adanna has had special powers all along
To everyone, including Nnanna, Adanna was being forced to become an acolyte. What most people didn't know, however, was that Adanna had belonged to the gods since birth, a secret only Adanna, her mother, and her supposed best friend Mmesomma were privy to.
However, Mmesomma, because of her secret crush on Nnanna, took it upon herself to spill the beans; she revealed to Nnanna that Adanna was only using him to escape her faith as an acolyte. Adanna had told her she was touched by the spirits when she was still in her mother's womb, and since birth, Adanna has always had the gift of seeing.
A heartbroken Nnanna was distraught to hear the news, as Adanna never told him; his mother also felt betrayed, as she believed she shared a close bond with Adanna's mother, Akunna, only for her to hide such a weighty secret from both parties. With death on the cards for Nnanna because of his love for Adanna, will he ever be able to forgive her?
