Following the end of her relationship with Collins, A distraught Esosa had initially decided to drop everything, say goodbye to her friends and family, and return to Italy to restart her life without Collins. However, on her way to the airport, during a stop at a pharmacy, she meets two girls who she believed were about to get trafficked.
Esosa plays superhero
While she only wanted to stop at the pharmacy to pick up the sleeping pills, she forgot at home. Esosa overheard two girls talking about what they needed to purchase for their trip to Italy; she confirmed if they were truly heading to Italy; the girls confirmed and claimed they were off to better their lives while doing legitimate work. Hitting too close to home as that was how she was lured into prostitution, Esosa tried to encourage the girls to stay; however, they were stern about their decision.
Esosa, scared for the girls and riddled with guilt, doesn't hesitate to spring into action. She bravely follows the car carrying the girls, determined to save them. Despite losing them, she doesn't give up and calls her right-hand man, Osayande, for help.
Esosa wants to make a difference
Instead of catching her flight, Esosa returns home and yields Collins's parting words, pushing her to make a positive impact instead of playing the victim. To do this, Esosa makes a bold move by creating a foundation aimed at fighting trafficking and providing young Benin women with profitable skills they can use to better their lives. She gets Ada, a close friend who shares her passion, and Osayande, her trusted ally, to support her and is searching for investors.
