At the start of Season 11 – week 2 – Big Brother revealed that the ₦100 million cash prize is not guaranteed.
Throughout the season, the House will be given opportunities to protect the prize through tasks, challenges and other activities. The housemates' performance, teamwork, commitment and ability to entertain will determine whether the cash prize remains intact.
When the House succeeds, the prize remains protected.
But when they fail to meet Big Brother's expectations, ₦5 million will be deducted from the cash prize.
Every deduction will be announced to the House, ensuring the housemates, and the viewers, know exactly what is at stake.
Week 3: ₦100 million remains intact
The Show Ya Sef housemates had their first opportunity to protect the prize in Week One.
After reviewing their performance across the week's tasks, challenges and activities, Big Brother delivered good news: the House had not lost a single naira.
The full ₦100 million cash prize remains intact.
The housemates were praised for their commitment to Big Brother's activities and their contribution to the entertainment inside the House.
But the reprieve comes with a warning.
Big Brother reminded the House that the prize is not guaranteed. More opportunities — and more challenges — will be placed in their path in the weeks ahead.
For now, the scoreboard reads:
Prize Money: ₦100 million
Protected this week: ₦100 million
Lost this week: ₦0
Week 4: ₦5 million deducted
The House's good run came to an end .
While the Housemates showed progress and contributed to the entertainment, Big Brother found that too many transgressions and repeated violations came at a cost.
As a result, ₦5 million was deducted from the cash prize, bringing the available prize money from ₦100 million to ₦95 million.
With every action carrying consequences, the Housemates now have even more reason to stay on track if they want to protect what's left of their prize.
For now, the scoreboard reads:
Prize Money: ₦95 million
Protected this week: ₦95 million
Lost this week: ₦5 million
And with another week ahead, the question is simple: can the House keep every naira?
