Head of House (HoH) Tram got mad after some of the Show Ya Sef housemates gave him a hard time about cleaning duties he had assigned. Here is how Day 48 went down:
8:00 am – Slow morning
Most of the housemates are sleeping. After his stretching exercise, Ricky started to get dressed.
Sheba is in the kitchen, washing the beans. Keivo had joined her for a little bit before he went to get busy in the Laundry area.
9:00 am – Gbas gbos over cleaning duties
Tram started waking the housemates up and he told them that it is time for general cleaning. He said everybody needs to stand up and come downstairs.
Flora is cleaning at the Wall of Fame area, she is wiping dining table and arranging chairs.
Tram told Oyin and Flora that both can clean the Main Lounge.
The housemates gather in the lounge. Tram told them that this from Big Brother: all the housemates need to clean. He added that luckily the house is not that dirty.
He said Flora and Oyin have already started with the Main Lounge and that Sheba has already started with the Kitchen.
He also asked the housemates to come to him after the cleaning to chat about the things they would require buying from BB Market.
Tram assigned the housemates where they need to be cleaning. Abi told Tram that only one person can clean the Laundry area and said she has cleaned it before.
He got frustrated and said what pisses him off is people always have a problem where they are not been assigned to.
Bluethopia chimed in and Oyin also gave her five cents on the matter.
10:00 am – The tension lingered
Bluethopia, Chimsom Chuka, Ricky and Sheba are in the Kitchen. Bluethopia talked to them about Tram. She said: “He tells me I should say (something) when I am an HoH. The thing is you are the HoH by chance, maybe no one has told you.”
She added that she worked so hard in the house was when Sheba was the HoH. Bluethopia then said that she is a child and no one must stress her. She called herself a baby. Chimsom Chuka asked her: “So you are a child?” She told him that she has never said she is an adult.
Keivo was cleaning the bathroom shower.
11:00 am – Abi shares why she doesn’t like alcohol
Abi told Ricky there is a reason she does not drink alcohol. They were walking in the Garden and chatting.
Ricky asked her why she does not drink alcohol. She told him that she was younger her dad used to drink a lot and he would start vomiting. According to her, she would have to clean out the vomit.
She said she does not like the smell of the alcohol and remembers her dad would get loud and abusive. She added that it was not fun.
Ricky said thank you for the heads up (when she said she doesn’t like the smell of alcohol).
Ricky mentioned to Abi that he had a dream about her last night. Abi asked what was in the dream and said that the house would make you dream a lot.
12:00 pm – It’s time for MIPOW
The housemates gather in the lounge to start voting for the Most Influential Person of the Week (MIPOW). Bluethopia joke and said whoever votes for her, she will take them to Abuja. Tram handed out the voting sheets after he read the brief.
Flora and Oyin are the first ones done with voting, they hand in their voting sheets. When they are done, Sheba talks to Aikou about who they had voted for before and why she decided to vote for certain people.
Yusuf said to Bells and Chimsom Chuka that people have been campaigning low key. Chimsom Chuka asked who, and Bells and Yusuf said Aikou.
1:00 pm – Talks on money, and life in the house
Kievo and Ricky are in the Garden. Ricky told Keivo that he is good and he is enjoying his time, but he is ready to go. Keivo asked him if he wants to go tomorrow? Ricky said no, not tomorrow, but he is good.
According to Keivo, yesterday’s Arena Games was easy. Ricky said that the games now are interesting. Keivo admitted that last week when he came second, he wanted to cry.
Abi is applying lipstick on Bluethopia in the Closet.
Bells and Yusuf are in the Orange Bedroom. Bells is talking to Yusuf about Chimsom Chuka. According to her, Chimsom Chuka said giving your girlfriend money is a financial mistake, and that he has dated women before from families who had money; they have never asked him money.
She said she told Chimsom Chuka that the ones with money, their families would marry them off to anyone who has money and they would leave you on the spot.
2:00 pm – A brief arrives for a sponsored task
Yusuf said he feels like they took Chimsom Chuka out of context. Bells disagreed with him and said, they did not.
Oyin and Flora are eating. Flora is sharing her food with Bluethopia. Bluethopia announced that she cannot date someone in the entertainment space.
The housemates gather for a sponsored task brief. Checkers Custard is the sponsor. Tram is the Games Master. He will join the winning team at the end of the games. There are two teams: Team Creamy and Team Tasty. The housemates each pick a their team through the Lucky Dip. When it was Bells' turn to choose her team name out of the box, she took the name and ran upstairs to the Closet area. The housemates wanted to know in which team Bells is.
Team Creamy (Blue) is Aikou, Araga, Barry, Bells, Bluethopia, Flora and Keivo. Team Tasty (Red) is Abi, Chimsom Chuka, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Yusuf.
The housemates collected their Checkers Custard merchandise and changed into their merch.
3:00 pm – Let the games begin
Ricky and Keivo play pool while they wait for the Checkers Custard Task to begin. The other housemates sit there and watch them. Ricky is out and Chimsom Chuka plays (pool) with Keivo. Chimsom Chuka is out and Barry is now playing pool with Keivo.
Abi told Araga about the conversation she had with Ricky regarding the wine and the BB Buck. Araga then starts talking to her about Goddessa.
4:00 pm – Checkers Custard task kicks off
The housemates entered the Arena for the Checkers Custard task, split into two teams through a Lucky Dip.
Team Creamy (Blue): Aikou, Araga, Barry, Bells, Bluethopia, Flora and Keivo.
Team Tasty (Red): Abi, Chimsom Chuka, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Yusuf.
HoH Tram served as Games Master.
The competition began with two games: Checkers Balance and Drop, followed by the Checkers Sharp Sharp Challenge.
5:00 pm – Teams get creative for the Custard Spinoff
The third game, Checkers Find Your Comfort, began with Team Tasty. After the team raised some questions, Tram reread the brief before play continued.
Next came the Checkers Custard Spinoff. Both teams had 15 minutes to create a unique custard recipe and present it to Biggie.
They had to name their creation, explain the inspiration, highlight their toppings and mystery ingredients, and convince Biggie why theirs deserved to win.
6:00 pm – Team Creamy wins as task debate continues
Back in the house, Yusuf praised Aikou’s presentation, while Abi and Sheba pointed out mistakes they noticed in Team Creamy’s performance.
In the garden, Araga, Bluethopia and Chimsom Chuka also reviewed the task. Chimsom Chuka pointed out Araga’s mistake after Araga injured his elbow during the game and questioned whether Team Creamy had an advantage in Game Three.
Bluethopia defended her team but admitted they sometimes focused too much on minor details, recalling Keivo suggesting they wash the cups because they were dirty.
Tram later announced the final result: with 140 points, Team Creamy emerged winners of the Checkers Custard task.
Chimsom Chuka later sat alone in the garden, appearing disappointed by the loss.
Upstairs in the Blue Room, Sheba told Temi Nkem about her night-time conversation with Ricky. She revealed that Ricky repeatedly asked her to touch him and that she accidentally touched his private area, leaving Temi Nkem laughing at the story.
7:00 pm – Link Up prep begins
Sheba continued telling Temi Nkem about her night with Ricky, revealing that she also touched his lips. Temi Nkem immediately questioned why she did that, and Sheba explained that it was simply to keep the conversation going.
The two laughed through the gist until Tram interrupted to announce that the salon was open.
Tram later read the Saturday Night Link Up brief. Biggie praised the housemates for being good sports throughout the week and revealed that the party theme is Optical Illusion.
Costumes have been provided, along with pizza, and the housemates were given two hours to get ready.
After the brief, they returned to the salon to finish their hair and prepare for the night.
8:00 pm – Optical Illusion Link Up loading
The salon closed and the housemates moved back into the lounge.
The storeroom opened shortly after, with HoH Tram handing out the party outfits.
As Biggie played music, the party mood kicked in. Araga, Bells, Chimsom Chuka, Oyin, Sheba and Yusuf were already dressed and putting the final touches to their looks ahead of the Saturday Night Link Up.
9:00 pm – Saturday Night Link Up kicks off
The party room came alive as the housemates stepped in for the Saturday Night Link Up.
Bluethopia was absent from the party as she was feeling unwell.
10:00 pm – Housemates tear up the dance floor
The Link Up continued with the housemates bringing plenty of energy to the dance floor.
Sheba and Tram also shared a dance as the party carried on.
11:00 pm – Post-Party care, dream gist and Ricky talk
After the party, the housemates returned to the house.
Chimsom Chuka checked on Bluethopia, who was still unwell. He brought her some of the pizza shared after the party and offered her fried rice and meat. He also asked if she wanted any pills, but Bluethopia declined.
Upstairs in the bedroom, Yusuf told Bells about a conversation he had with Ricky. According to Yusuf, Ricky said some housemates, including Nomy and Oyin, had experienced unusual dreams involving Bells, leading to suggestions that there might be something spiritual about her.
Bells said none of the people involved had ever mentioned the dreams directly to her. She also made it clear that she is Catholic and has tried to remain cool with everyone in the house. She admitted she sometimes senses things others may not notice, but rejected any suggestion that there was something fetish about her.
Yusuf told her not to take the conversation personally or confront anyone about it.
In the garden, Barry, Abi and Temi Nkem discussed Ricky’s behaviour.
Abi said she was tired of the conversation around him and insisted she had never been spiteful. She argued that Ricky thinks he is smarter than he is because other housemates enable him.
Barry pointed out that Abi sometimes laughs during Ricky’s antics, which can make it look like she enjoys the attention. Abi disagreed, saying everyone jokes with everyone and questioned why her interactions with Ricky are treated differently, asking if it is because she is married.
She then suggested people should be more concerned about Sheba and Ricky, but Barry and Temi Nkem disagreed.
Barry said Sheba had already figured out Ricky’s game and was smart enough to handle it, prompting Abi to ask, “Am I not smart?”
