If there is one person in Wura who deserves a moment of peace, it has to be Mide. Seriously, at this point, life seems to wake up every morning and ask itself, "How can we stress Mide today?" Just when things appear to be looking up for him, another problem comes knocking. Sometimes it doesn't even knock. It simply breaks the door down and moves in.
First came the bride price shock
Finding love should be the hard part. For Mide, it turned out that getting permission to marry Paulina was the real challenge. When Paulina's father handed him the bride price list, Mide nearly needed medical attention. The list was so long and expensive that it looked less like marriage requirements and more like a shopping list for a small kingdom. The poor man could already see his account balance waving goodbye.
A stroke of luck... Or so he thought
Then, for once, fortune smiled on him. Mide came into millions of naira and finally saw a way out of his predicament. At last, he could settle the bride price issue and move on with his life. Simple, right?
Wrong. Because somehow, news of the money got out. Soon enough, a rival gang came calling. They held his family hostage and forced him to transfer the money. Just like that, everything disappeared.
One minute you're planning a wedding. The next minute, you're explaining to your account balance why it now resembles a ghost town.
The failed comeback mission
Not willing to go down without a fight, Mide gathered members of his old gang and went after the thieves. To be fair, the mission itself wasn't a bad idea. The timing, however, was terrible.
By the time they tracked the culprits down, the money was already gone. Completely gone. Mide had successfully robbed the robbers, only to discover there was nothing left to rob. Talk about adding insult to injury.
The wedding finally happens
Against all odds, Mide and Paulina eventually made it to the altar. At long last, it seemed like all the suffering had paid off. The bride was smiling. The groom was smiling. Viewers were smiling.
Everyone thought the drama was finally over. Everyone was wrong. No sooner had the wedding celebrations ended than Loveth appeared. Loveth, Mide's baby mama, made it very clear that she was not about to quietly fade into the background. She insisted that Mide could not simply move on with his new life without addressing his responsibilities to her and their child. Fair enough. The problem was that she did not stop there.
The unexpected roommate
Rather than keep a healthy distance, Loveth practically inserted herself into the newlyweds' marriage. Before anyone could process what was happening, she had become a constant presence in their home. Imagine finally getting married after all you've been through, only to discover your biggest headache has moved in with you. Mide and Paulina barely had time to enjoy married life before the tension started building. And then things got even worse.
The fight that changed everything
The breaking point came when Loveth and Paulina got into a heated altercation. What happened next was something nobody saw coming. Loveth claimed Paulina assaulted her and dramatically played the victim. Before long, the police were involved. Now Paulina is behind bars facing assault charges. And Mide? Well, Mide is once again watching his life fall apart. The man nearly lost the woman he loves. Now she's sitting in jail. At this point, even Mide must be wondering what he did to deserve all this.
