The next Live Show on Nigerian Idol is all about good music and inspiration.

On this Sunday's eagerly anticipated episode of Nigerian Idol, we will be getting a large dose of good music, accompanied by superb choral backing by musical guests 121 Selah! The theme for this week's Live Show is ‘Inspirational Songs’, and it goes without saying how excited we are to witness this.

Get ready for some feel-good music, courtesy of our incredibly talented finalists. Take a look at the setlist for the Top 9 performances below.

Banty: 'Lean On Me' – Bill Withers

Banty will be performing Bill Withers’ single ‘Lean On Me’. Released in 1972, as the first single off his second album ‘Still Bill’, the song went to number one on the charts and earned Withers his second gold single.

Debby: 'Happy' – Pharrell Williams

Debby will be performing the smash hit ‘Happy’ originally recorded by Pharrell Williams. The song was released as an original soundtrack for the animated movie ‘Despicable Me 2’ in 2013. 

Jordan: 'You Say' – Lauren Diagle​ 

Jordan is going to be setting the stage ablaze with Lauren Diagle’s ‘You Say’. The song is from Lauren’s third album ‘Look Up Child’ a Grammy award-winning album that was released in 2018. 

Progress: 'Uncle Suru' – Jon Ogah

Progress will be performing ‘Uncle Suru’ originally recorded by Jon Ogah. The inspirational song was a part of Jon’s 2015 album which bears the same name.

David Operah: 'Dance With My Father' – Luther Vandross

David Operah will be doing justice to Luther Vandross’ amazing song ‘Dance With My Father’ which was released in the year 2003 as part of the album that shares the same name. 

Abigail: 'Higher Love' – Whitney Houston

Abigail plans to do justice to Whitney Houston’s version of ‘Higher Love’. Though originally sung by English Steve Winwood, Whitney covered the song in 1990 and it was included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of her third studio album  ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’. 

Faith: 'Next To Me' – Emile Sande 

Faith is going to be performing ‘Next To Me’ which is an originally choir-backed soulful song. It was released in 2012 as the third single from Emile Sande’s debut album ‘Our Version of Events’ 

Itohan: 'Can’t Give Up Now' – Mary Mary

Itohan will be performing ‘Cant Give Up Now’ from American gospel singers Mary Mary. The song was released in the year 2000 as part of the album ‘Thankful’. 

Gerald: 'Pray' – Sam Smith 

Gerald is going to be performing Pray by R&B singer Sam Smith. The song was released in 2017 as part of Sam’s album ‘The Thrill Of It All’.

Zadok: 'Wish Me Well' – Timi Dakolo

Zadok would definitely wish all goes well during his performance of Timi Dakolo’s 2015 smash single ‘Wish Me Well’.
