This is a No Loose Guard house.
That is, Biggie’s decree stands firm – the theme ought to be upheld to its fullest extent by the faves.
On Wednesday, viewers took note of a different tone in Biggie’s exchange with the housemates. As the housemates took turns heading to the diary room, where they reflected on their second week in their freshly unleashed solo journeys to the coveted bag, a few tense moments marked a pattern that got many thinking - Is Big Brother not having it?
What’s more, to keep the housemates on their toes, Biggie mandated a number of rules wherein the order stand – his house, his rules!
And while the housemates have been on their A-game in the house, delivering top entertainment with their relentless pursuit of the top, Big Brother seemingly invited them to understand that in his house, he determines the speed! As such, a number of rules have been implemented, including;
- No hot water.
- No access to Head of House amenities.
- No lounging in the garden unless specifically instructed.
- No sunglasses in the house.
- No taking duvets out of the bedroom and
- Randomly increasing and decreasing the AC temp while also
- Disturbing their sleep with sounds of someone coughing aggressively and different baby cries.
These rules are turning up the heat in the No Loose Guard house. No hot water means cold showers. With limited access to Head of House perks, along with no lounging in the garden unless instructed, the housemates face a more intense competition.
The barring of sunglasses indoors, along with the strict rule around duvets, strips them of comfort. Random temperature swings and disruptive noises like coughing and baby cries ensure that their sleep and sanity are constantly tested.
Big Brother's firm control is sure to crank up the drama and pressure.
Getting familiar with Biggie is probably not the best approach. Ozee would be the first to attest, having tasted the stern side of Big Brother’s unpredictable personality. Viewers gasped when torwards the end of his diary debrief, Ozee’s request for further engagement was met with a cold hush.
Where “Can I ask something?” would have been typically met with a reasonably enthusiastic reciprocity, this time it landed in a garden of crickets. Ouch!
But it didn’t end there for the faves, who encountered Biggie’s authoritative side. A similar fate met with Topher, who’s hot take on the parrot led him to a swift dose of pity. In his candid reflection, Topher had opined that more than a week after its arrival in the house, the chatterbox had yet to shake his tables. “We were just talking to each other, asking - is this all?” Biggie clapped back, inviting him to meditate on his review. “Have you said anything noteworthy in the past 7 weeks”?
Similarly, Anita’s comments about the beloved parrot also led her down a rocky path. When she shared that she had expected the parrot to “say something juicy”, Biggie matched the aura by asking if she’d done anything juicy over the past 7 weeks.
The mood continued with TJay, who had suggested that Biggie should introduce people that will scatter the ships. It sounded cute for a second, until Biggie asked whether Tjay thought he was a home wrecker.
And when Ben expected a reward, he was taken aback when Biggie announced that his diary session had concluded. Ben gasped, uttering “ ehn ehn, naso?”
This is not a drill, as the housemates got a firm reminder that when all has been said and done, the landlord will have the final word!
