Nigerian Idol

We've got a Guest Judge coming on Nigerian Idol this Sunday and it's non-other than superstar OAP, Toolz. She joins D'banj and Obi Asika to decide which of the Nigerian Idol hopefuls gets a Golden Ticket and heads to theatre week. Toolz is a radio presenter and Group Programme Director for the Beat FM stations in Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt & Abuja. She currently hosts her own radio show ‘The Midday Show with Toolz’ (weekdays) on one of Nigeria’s top urban radio stations – The Beat 99.9FM. What a resume right? Well, that's not all.

She is also the host of the 'Off Air Show' one of the biggest Nigerian podcasts on YouTube alongside Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi. Toolz also hosted The Juice’ by NdaniTV which aired on Africa Magic Entertainment. Before trying her hand at radio presenting on the Beat 99.9FM, Toolz gained extensive experience within the British entertainment industry, having worked at MTV Networks Europe for several years before moving on to the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group.

What can't she do? She has also had her effect on the music industry via her role in the media and also in the music award space. In 2012 she approached the organizers of Nigeria's biggest music awards ceremony - The Headies (formally known as the Hip Hop World Awards) and successfully introduced a new category called the 'Rookie Of The Year' which gives recognition to talented upcoming Nigerian musicians.
