We had some of the most incredible TV shows this year and we were spellbound by their exciting moments. From Enakhe to Riona, Venge, Dilemma, and Unmarried, we witnessed spectacular plots, cliffhangers, suspense, and pulsating scenes culminating in epic dramatic moments.
Speaking of dramatic moments, how about we explore each show and check out some of our favourite moments.
Enakhe
Jacinta’s Death
The moment Jacinta was shot by Orobo in defence of Enakhe had us on the edge of our seats. It was quite unnerving to see Enakhe and Onanefe keep their mouths shut while Jacinta fought for her life in intensive care.
Finding out Orobo is the mole
It was quite shocking to learn that Orobo was the mole. Then again, it's always someone within that ends up being the snitch. In addition, she appeared rather pleased with herself for shooting Jacinta and sowing the seeds of discord between both families.
Enakhe's faking her death
What a well-hatched plan! We didn't see this coming and neither did Enakhe's enemies. They took the bait and celebrated a little bit too early.
Resurrection of Cali
While Enakhe faked her death, Cali beat death as Regina used her powers to reverse the death. He had already crossed over to the afterlife and was suddenly yanked back. This was quite a scene
Regina wasn't done just yet
Honestly, if you could bring someone from the afterlife, you could pretty much do anything. Nonetheless, we were fascinated by the way she magically transported Enakhe from the building where the bomb had been planted.
RIONA
The death of Agbeyegbe’s mother
Nothing prepared us for Towu murdering Agbeyegbe’s mother in cold blood. It was quite heartbreaking. It was not enough just for him to commit an act like that, he also openly gloated over it.
Tsema switches identities
Aghan was assigned the task of carrying out Tsema's death sentence, and when his emotions got in the way, Towu stepped up and sharpened his blade. They did not realize that Arenyeka had cast a spell on Tsema, giving her a new identity while another carried hers.
UNMARRIED
The new Funbi
After her unpleasant experience with Chuka and Chief, we were thankful Funbi broke the yoke and allowed herself to love again. This was one of the few delightful moments of the show.
Kamsi and Lota tread the right path
Despite their frequent marital woes, they shared an intimate moment during their son’s hospital stay, and while this wasn’t enough to spark an emotional reconciliation, it was a step in the right direction because they decided to move in together.
Baby Mama Nengi
Nengi found out that she was five weeks pregnant and that the father of the child was her toy boy Ade. She ended up losing all chances of salvaging her relationship with Efe and her friendship with Dr Lami.
Dilemma
The Deaths
From the Odogwu's to the Waziri's, it was truly shocking to see the speed at which both families' members were killed. There was no room for mercy. Death was swiftly handed to parties concerned.
Kaineto finding out she was pregnant and sole Executor of the Waziri estate
After fighting for her life, finding out she was pregnant was a surprise not only to Kaineto but also to us. To top it off, she was appointed the sole Executor of the estate of the very man who at some point made her life miserable.
Venge
Bibi finding out about the ledger
Bibi finds out from Toke about the existence of a ledger that could help clear her name and also implicate Kamara and Timi. Yikes! She might find a way to get herself out but in the end, it means her new love will be heading to jail. It is even more dramatic because Bibi expects Kamara to assist her in finding the ledger.
Esosa and Toke’s death
In a sad twist, but ladies were murdered in the cell. Esosa was the first to go leaving her mum, Itohan swearing to take revenge. Toke was murdered next after being brutally attacked in the bathroom on the orders of a prison warden.
