If political power was to be sought through music, many of our ministers of melody would certainly assume office because despite differences attributed to the sovereignty of states, music continues to break barriers and find loopholes in the walls meant to separate us. Having clearly studied his market, Dj Sose has certainly carved his own path and chooses to deliver his jockeying in the most unique of ways, curating for himself a manifesto so powerful that he was dubbed thee DJ during this year’s season of Big brother Naija.
Though a familiar face, Dj Sose’s immaculate delivery during his first appearance of the BBNaija season had thousands finally placing a face to the name; not because of his bold facial tattoo, but simply because he came, he jockeyed and most definitely conquered.
Avid BBNaija fans will remember this very well, and maybe dance to the silent reminisced rhythmic niceties. The charismatic muso went as far as brewing the Housemates’ names into Mr Real’s ‘Legbegbe’, creating a remix so hypnotising, not even the cameramen escaped. The Housemates were the elements, the music was the organic reactant and the Deejay was without a doubt the catalyst; bringing us an explosive party.
On the backend, we were fortunate enough to have payed attention to the other elements that make him such a household name. While many of his peers strive solely on spontaneity, Sose’s take is multi angular with a touch of entrepreneurship and flawless management.
Rated one of the top 10 African DJs by Channel O and having been nominated a whopping 3 times in the Nigerian Entertainment awards, DJ Sose is certainly peaking faster than we can say WOW. Wehdone sah!
