The #BBNaija House has somewhat been a great source of inspiration for anyone who changes their looks every so often. We have seen some beautiful, colourful hairdos, ranging from braids, crotchet braids and wigs by Darling.
The switch-ups have been possible due to the Sunday Darling Salon sessions that Housemates take seriously since they have been gaining points for their involvement during these sessions and beyond. We have seen the men like Cross coming through, lending a hand to wash some of the ladies’ hair and even lending a hand to make sure wigs are straightened and ready to use.
When it’s not a Sunday, you will find a pair of ladies settled in a corner, braiding away. From the beginning, it has always been Tega and Saskay who handled the braiding of most heads in the House. Now, Saskay seems to be doing most of the beauty work herself. It’s also fascinating to note how fast some of these looks are put together! We appreciate the normalising of crotchet braids. Gone are the days when one would have to sit in a chair for hours upon hours, all in the name of beauty.
Occasionally, you will find Liquorose braiding her own hair by the mirrors. Now that Tega has left the building, we see Liquorose showing up more to help, braiding anyone who Saskay is not braiding at that moment. She hooked up a nice purple braid do for Whitemoney which had everyone commenting about how he matches the #BBNaija House.
Jaypaul, who came into the House with braids, has maintained his signature style with a slight colour switch up. Earlier in the Season, we saw Sammie and Pere joining the braid gang shortly after Whitemoney decided to get some blonde crotchet dreads. It has been fun to watch him changing length and colour since then.
There has also been a case of the travelling wigs. It's lovely to see how the different fixtures fit on the heads, uniquely standing out on every Shine Ya Eye lady. Have you seen the short wigs?! What about the long platinum one with the body waves? Don’t forget the deep maroon curly one Saskay and Peace have been rocking. The girls have been showing us how to style these looks too.
One thing we will say is, we still have a few more weeks to see what else the ladies have planned for their roots!
