Relationships, relationships, relationships! That was the topic of discussion in the House today. A couple of the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ Housemates formed clusters and had light-hearted conversations about their past relationships and the extents they would go in to make those relationships work.
In the cluster comprised of Nini, Pere, Arin, Boma and Beatrice, the geng spoke about their first heartbreak and how it affected how they approach relationships now. Pere spoke on how his first heartbreak was with an older woman who left him broken inside. He went on to mention he has had his heart broken a total of three times.
Nini on the other hand, claimed her heart had never been broken because she was quick to walk away from relationships whenever she perceived something was wrong. Saga, who has expressed interest in Nini, was visibly shocked and made mention of it to Boma when he came around to the group.
Jackie B and Jaypaul also bonded over their experiences, when Arin joined in and gave a narration of how her ex defrauded her during their two-year relationship. She said he had swindled her when she wanted to purchase a car. According to her, he felt secure in his con because he was in London, but she was able to eventually get him locked up. Arin claims the event left her depressed, but she soon got over it.
Jackie B also expressed her thoughts; she does not believe in the concept of an ex. She told the geng when she is done with a guy, he ceases to exist in her life. She also revealed she was okay with a couple having separate bedrooms within the home, because the concept of personal space is important to her.
Jaypaul chipped in with an agreement to her statement claiming his grandparents had different bedrooms but loved each other dearly. They loved each other so much that his grandfather died a few months after his grandmother died, because he could not live without her.
The relationship talk moved to the Lounge as the Housemates gathered to continue sharing their experiences. Most shocking of the stories told in the Lounge was the one relayed by Tega. She revealed how sheonly found out her ex (who was her current at the time) was getting married just a few days after their last meetup. She narrated how she had accompanied him on a shopping spree for decor, which turned out to be for his upcoming nuptials.
Omo! The streets are definitely not smiling.
