For the last few Diary Sessions, we have heard Kiddwaya and Praise asking Biggie for balls for the table tennis table. The guys are clearly quite friendly with each other and it seems that table tennis has a way of joining them all in a central place as they compete daily to see who can rule the roost. Biggie granted them a pass this week and we once again had the pleasure of seeing Kiddwaya, Trikytee, Praise and Brighto around the table.
Basics of the Game
Table Tennis is also known as ping pong and is usually played as a best 3 out of 5 Game. Usually, the first player to reach 11 points Wins the Game. Ping pong can be played by two or four people and is usually very fast-paced depending on the level of experience possessed by the player.
The table tennis crew
The usual crew involves Kiddwaya, Trikytee, Brighto, Praise and from time to time, Prince. These guys take the game very seriously, usually playing full Games to see who gets to 11 first. They keep score and maintain their friendly banter through the game. They continue to give each other tips through the game, making sure they coach each other. Not only that, but they also respect each other as they play and keep count for one another. There is a different kind of camaraderie with this aspect of the House.
Sometimes the ships dock too
From time to time, we see Ozo and Nengi come by for a quick Game- usually in the evenings. Nengi has been known to join the guys for a game or two and it is said she is getting better at it. She and Ozo play a very relaxed game usually, even though both of them are quite competitive.
A chat group rest haven.
Earlier, Dorathy had a brief chat with Ozo and announced as she prepared to play a game of table tennis with Prince that she had just 'exited the chat group'. The table tennis table is, therefore, more than just a place for lovers and friends, but a rest haven for the people ho just need a break or some space.
It is said that table tennis helps to relieve stress and relax the brain. With the guys playing this much table tennis, it is probably no surprise that the girls are more fired up than the guys in the House, maybe more of the girls should play table tennis...
