On Sunday, the Nigerian Idol Season 8 Top 10 will perform Live for the first time, and we are sure viewers will be dazzled by their amazing voices and the spectacle of their performances. Still trying to figure out who you will be rooting for? We’ve got you covered. Here’s a little something to know about each Contestant which might help you decide who you’re rooting for after watching their performances on Sunday of course.


Abraham
Abraham was inspired to Audition for Nigerian Idol because he has a message that has to be shared with the world. The most unusual song in his playlist was the last song he performed at Theatre Week; ‘Under The Influence’ by Chris Brown. Abraham says he is the next Nigerian Idol because he is unique and his voice carries a deep message.

Constance
Constance, the youngest contestant this season, was inspired to Audition for Nigerian Idol by her late sister. She has plans to open an orphanage in her late sister’s name should she be crowned Winner. Constance says she will bring lots of energy and good vibes with her performances. She believes she is the next Nigerian Idol because she has a unique voice and is confident in what she does. Constance’s idea of a good artist is one who has confidence, is creative and has enough technical skill and flair.

Chisom
Chisom believes he is the next Nigerian Idol because he doesn’t give up easily. In line with not giving up, he believes the qualities of a good artist are consistency, talent, and having a good character. Chisom, who has Auditioned twice for Nigerian Idol, says family is the most important thing to him. He says he is bringing originality and style to the Nigerian Idol live stage and is looking forward to collaborating with Afrobeat superstar Davido one day.

Goodness
Goodness says she auditioned because she wanted to come out of her shell after losing her cousin. The loss made her realise there wasn’t enough time in the world. According to her, a great artist is someone who carries everyone along and can be commercial, so all types of listeners can appreciate their music. Goodness believes she is the next Nigerian Idol because no one has ever seen what she has.

Ose Daniel
Ose Daniel says he is the next Nigerian Idol because he will make sure fans can connect to his performances, no matter who they are or where they come from. He was inspired to Audition because of his passion for music and his decision to do more with his musical skill. His dream is to perform at the O2 Arena one day and he says his most unique quality is his ability to adapt to any style of music. This, he feels, makes a great artist.

Precious Mac
Precious Mac, whose sisters have also had a shot at the Nigerian Idol stage, has come to the show to protect and preserve her family’s honour. This pasta-loving artist believes the key qualities of a good singer are sportsmanship and versatility. If she could sing any song for the rest of her life, it would be ‘No One’ by Alicia Keys. Precious Mac says she is the next Nigerian Idol because she has all the qualities needed to be a superstar.

Quest
Quest, who has been a professional singer for 10 years, describes herself as an individual who is caring to a fault. She was inspired to go into music by her mother who was a member of a choir and had a beautiful voice. According to her, the qualities of a great artist are skill, stage presence and the ability to pass a message in a unique way. To achieve the above on the Live Show, Quest says she will be intentional about her delivery of songs and will be bold in her performances. She will also be versatile with her vocal range and dexterity while unlocking a lot of power during her performances.
Finally, Quest believes she is the next Nigerian Idol because she has got what it takes to be one.

Reigny
Ex-beauty queen Reigny describes herself as a “tough lady”, who was inspired to come on Nigerian Idol by her family and friends. According to her, a good artist is one who has the ability to evolve and push themselves to the limit. Reigny believes she will be the next Nigerian Idol because she is a fighter who listens to instructions.

Savy Henry
This football-loving contestant made it to the Live Show after a failed trial last season. He believes the key qualities of a good artist are a good voice, the ability to connect with your audience, and the ability to write songs. Savy Henry says he is the next Nigerian Idol because the audience will always be able to connect to him. Asked what would he do if he had superpowers. Make everyone listen to his music, was his answer of course!

Victory
Lawyer, poet, and singer Victory was inspired to come on Nigerian Idol because of his personal drive and the people around him. The self-confessed ambivert believes what makes a great artist is their skill, confidence in their skill, and the ability to sell the said skill. He believes he will be the next Nigerian Idol because he is not afraid to learn from his mistakes.
