A softer side to the Battles

09 August 2017
We’ve seen Talent delivering enchanting performances of love songs for a spot in the Live Shows.

It could be the pairing of Talent, the song choices or even a bit of both. One can quite put their finger on it but whatever it is, it’s bringing out another side to the Battles.

Coach Timi said it was like a “couple’s retreat”, after host IK Osakioduwa mentioned the chemistry between #TeamYemi’s Majeeka and Wolei’s performance of Niyola’s song titled “Toh Bad” this past Sunday.

Yemi did say she wanted “selfless lovers” on her Team and it comes as no surprise that she had these two Talent taking on such a song and delivering a passionate performance.

Another breathtaking performance was between #TeamWaje’s Glowrie and Wilson. Yemi said their performance of Babyface and Toni Braxton’s song titled “Hurt You” gave her goosebumps and kept her glued to her seat!

#TeamTimi’s IDYL and Happiness were another pair that gave an mesmerising performance, with their rendition of John Legend’s “Love Me Now”. There was so much passion in their performance, it’s no wonder their Coach Timi had a tough time choosing.

So you see, the Battles have not just been about songs that bring out the fierceness in Talent’s voices but there’s also a softer side to it. Join us this Sunday, as Talent continue to Battle for a spot in the Lives.
