Jara has platted generous portions of home-brewed entertainment much longer than we can count with our fingers and to say it’s been a ride like no other would be a complete understatement. Last week, we closed the curtain on yet another successful season and as traditional demanded, gave away our massive star-signed pillow.
To kick things off, we took it back a notch and reminisced on the moments that you, the fans dubbed the most interesting of the entire season. This of course included but was not limited to the most memorable interviews with your fav tinsel towners; Charles Okocha, Kenneth Okonkwo, Dami Adegbite, Monalisa Chinda, Timini Egbuson and Adesua Wellington. From the veteran’s table all the way down to ‘new kids on the block’ lounge, we highlighted 2019/2020’s biggest television servings and the bits that reshaped film making in its entirety.
To place the cherry on top of an already beautifully iced cake, we caught up with one of Nollywood’s most prominent talents with an artistic history that spans across continents and fortune 500 brands, Karibi Fubara. The ‘Before 30’ lead walked us down his career aisle and shone the light on some of his offshore projects, working with greats such Idris Elba, John Legend and Stuart Matthewman to name a few - and how the Netflix production, ‘We Speak Dance’ came about; and as the season’s final pillow signee, Karibi had the honour of presenting the puffy gift and a tailor-made self-care kit to our fan fav.
We definitely couldn’t piece the entire season’s niceties into a single episode, but with guests like the immensely talented Karibi and our Jara pillow winner to match, we delivered good old fun the Africa Magic way.
