Week Eight invited the housemates to step through the looking glass and into Wonderland, a world of fantasy, surrealism and pure whimsy.
The ordinary became extraordinary, familiar routines took strange turns and Biggie kept everyone guessing as the housemates made their way through one of the season’s most unpredictable weeks yet.
Here’s how Wonderland Week played out.
Barry becomes HoH and Ultimate Veto Power Holder
The Week Eight Head of House challenge came with more on the line.
Beyond winning the HoH title, the eventual winner would also become the Ultimate Veto Power Holder, unlocking major privileges in the game.
After several rounds, the challenge came down to Barry and Keivo, with Barry eventually taking the win.
The victory did more than put Barry in the HoH seat. It also made him the season’s first finalist and gave him the power to influence nominations this week and the next.
Barry chose Keivo as his HoH Loft guest, while Bells became the Benchwarmer.
Housemates make their nomination pitches
Nominations also came with a twist.
Instead of the usual process, each housemate was given two minutes to make a case directly to Barry, explaining why he should use his Ultimate Veto Power to save them from possible eviction.
After hearing everyone out, Barry chose to save Aikou.
The decision did not sit well with some housemates, particularly Bluethopia and Temi Nkem.
A Wonderland wager win
For the week’s wager, Biggie challenged the housemates to create their own Nigerian adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.
They were given a Character Bible and reference materials to help shape their interpretation before getting to work on the performance.
Their efforts paid off.
After losing the previous week’s wager, the housemates bounced back with a win and finally had something to celebrate.
YuBells and Bluethopia–Chimsom Chuka Drama
Relationships also took a few twists of their own.
After Yusuf told Biggie during his diary session that he intended to take a step back from Bells, YuBells eventually found their way back into conversation. The pair talked things through and appeared to close some of the distance between them, keeping their shippers on yet another emotional rollercoaster.
Bluethopia and Chimsom Chuka also had their own complications.
Although they are not officially a ship, Chimsom Chuka had been planning a movie date for Bluethopia. He later asked Barry to return the BB Bucks he had intended to use for it.
He also opened up to Temi Nkem and later Sheba about what he sees as Bluethopia’s poor communication.
Whether that movie date will still happen remains to be seen.
The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
After the intensity of the wager, Biggie treated the housemates to a Wonderland celebration with The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Naturally, this was no ordinary tea party.
Through a Lucky Dip, each housemate picked someone whose “Unbirthday” they had to celebrate. They were then required to prepare a convincing performance for that housemate.
Dressed for the occasion, the housemates leaned fully into the theme and enjoyed the whimsical celebration Biggie had prepared.
Keivo wins the arena games again
Friday’s arena games featured four challenges designed to test the housemates’ flying skills, decision making and appetite for risk.
The goal was to collect as many points as possible while deciding whether to lock in their score or risk everything by pushing further.
At the end of the night, Keivo emerged victorious, becoming the first housemate this season to defend an arena games title back to back. Barry finished as first runner up, with both housemates earning BB Bucks.
From Barry securing a place in the finale to nomination pitches, relationship twists, a wager win and another Keivo arena victory, Wonderland Week delivered exactly what it promised: in Biggie’s house, nothing is ever quite what it seems.
