Ahead of tonight’s Wager, the Big Brother Naija S11 housemates were tasked to trip down memory lane for the day’s theme “Throwback Thursday”. Flora revisited the “local birds” comment with Chimsom Chuka. Meanwhile, Tram was flirting with Temi Nkem again.
Here’s how the day went down:
8:00 am – Flora takes on Chimsom Chuka
Flora and Chimsom Chuka were in the kitchen, having a little argument. Chimsom Chuka said she must ask whether he was involved and not just make assumptions. According to him, he wasn't there when there were talks about the “local birds”.
Bells left Yusuf’s bed in the Orange Bedroom and went to sleep in another bed. Yusuf woke her up to come join him and told her to stop being petty. He asked Bells to step on his back and she walked on his back.
Abi spoke to Temi Nkem in the Closet and said she heard Oyin and Flora talking about their situation and how it is exhausting. She said they should put their energy into the Wager instead and that if they fail, it will be on them. Abi said they were also angry about jollof rice.
9:00 am – It’s Throwback Thursday
Oyin, Aikou and Gerard discuss the Wager.
Biggie helped Head of House (HoH) Abi to call the housemates to the Main Lounge for a day’s brief read. However, most of the housemates still took their time.
Temi Nkem is making custard and Tram advised her on how to make it. Tram said Temi Nkem will just switch up. He told her she can't keep coming back to him in the night.
Tram made himself custard and Temi joked about his custard. He asked Temi Nkem why she's acting like she doesn't want him, he still wants her. Tram told Barry that Temi Nkem likes his attention.
Abi tried to wake Nomy up and called her a child.
Abi read the brief, it's Throwback Thursday and they should give Big ’70s energy, ’80s glamour, ’90s cool or 2000s nostalgia.
10:00 am – Talks about the Wager
The housemates get ready for the day – they are dressing up in their Throwback Thursday.
Ricky told Yusuf how this Wager is going and that the songs are not matching the outfits. He said he doesn't care whether they win or lose, because he’s been surviving with bare minimum food.
Ricky also said Nomy has been opening up and is having the time of her life. Yusuf agreed and said it was about time because this house can be too much.
Araga joined the conversation, saying that people are so different in this house. He talked about him wanting tattoo's and they talk about 2Pac and how he got tattoo's and how educated he was and his songs being deep. Yusuf said he has watched 2Pac’s documentaries.
Sheba walked into the Garden and Araga said she must come to 2Pac and added that she is his Diana Ross.
Aikou, Gerard and Oyin talk about the Wager.
Gerard said they will only win by God's grace. Oyin added that if they don't win, she will no longer do any Wager until she comes out of the house.
Gerard said she is feeling the Wager because she is the leader but it's always like this because it's hard to gather people.
11:00 am – Oyin is getting worried
Keivo joined Oyin and Gerard. They chat more about the Wager and how the people who had selected Oyin are the ones who are disrespecting her now.
She said if someone does her dirty she will do them even more. She added that if they lose the Wager, she will punish them. Oyin asks Gerard if he doesn't do revenge and he said in this house he can't take offense with this people, and he has worked with a lot of people and there is always ego clashes.
Oyin and Gerard continue with their conversation. Gerard said the only conversation he had with Chimsom Chuka was when they received the brief. He said he won't take lead on this Wager and said that he will rest this week.
Oyin called Yusuf to clarify things. Yusuf said they didn't want to get too involved with this one (Wager) because last week they were so tired.
Sheba rehearsed her part for the Wager while she is with Temi Nkem. Temi Nkem models and Sheba hypes her up.
12:00 pm – Laid back vibes
Yusuf, Sheba and Flora are dancing around the house.
Bells blends pepper to prepare her food.
Yusuf and Flora dance in the kitchen while Temi Nkem dances in the Main Lounge.
Araga is in the kitchen as Bells dishes up for him and he asked Biggie to please play 2Pac’s music.
Araga then joined Temi Nkem and Sheba as he ate his noodles. Araga asked Sheba if she will move to Lagos and she said she has to plan properly and see if Lagos will benefit her.
Bluethopia and Keivo are making food in the kitchen.
1:00 pm – Chats about Y2Ks
Abi, Sheba and Temi Nkem are chilling; Keivo joined them and they talk about Y2Ks.
Chimsom Chuka joked with Araga by fighting over Sheba. Temi Nkem asked Araga to play the Wager songs.
Chimsom Chuka tried to talk to Flora and she's not having it. He continued to dance with the ladies.
The housemates start their rehearsals, with Araga as the director.
2:00 pm – Final rehearsal for the Wager
The housemates go to the Arena to practise their Wager. Oyin explained to the housemates how the wager will go. Sheba starts as the host when they practise.
3:00 pm – Meetings, modelling and custard
Abi, Chimsom Chuka and Sheba are hanging out in the Kitchen. Chimsom Chuka told Abi that she is the best model. Later he tells her that she needs to model outside. He added that he was watching her at rehearsals and she should please take modelling serious.
Temi Nkem added: “The guy is even begging you, Abi.”
When Chimsom Chuka and Sheba were alone, he told her he has watched the women have meetings in the house. According to him, they do not have respect for each other. He said they should let someone's point to land before commenting.
Chimsom Chuka told Temi Nkem that today she didn’t make him custard. He said that the last time she made him custard, he had finished it. He added that she is making custard for people who don’t even appreciate it. She agreed with him.
Yusuf asked Araga if they will be given food at the Pool Party. Araga said Abi is making beans and rice and Yusuf said Abi does not care about me. Araga added she cares about me.
4:00 pm – Final touches ahead of the wager presentation
The housemates began getting ready for their wager presentation, with Barry ironing, Flora and Oyin trying on their outfits, and Nomy helping with the styling.
5:00 pm – Wager nerves and more house tension
Abi was busy cooking in the kitchen while Sheba and Chimsom Chuka took some time to rest.
Upstairs, Flora, Nomy and Oyin continued preparing for the wager presentation.
Abi and Sheba also had a conversation about how cooking responsibilities in the house can sometimes feel one sided. Their discussion later shifted to the wager, with Sheba hoping everything would go smoothly.
They also spoke about eviction and how difficult it has become to predict who might leave. Sheba admitted she still could not believe Goddessa was evicted, while both wondered whether evicted housemates watch the show afterward and eventually understand why they were voted out.
Abi added that she never expected to make it this far in the competition.
Later in the garden, Flora and Oyin discussed a housemate they felt had not contributed enough during wager preparations but later arrived at the Arena expecting everyone to follow their direction as a model.
Flora questioned why the person had not spoken up earlier. She also recalled that when Gerard and Aikou advised her, Keivo told her she would have to deal with them.
7:00 pm – The housemates win their fashion wager
The housemates entered the Arena and brought the runway to life with their looks, attitude and presentation on the evolution of fashion.
Afterward, Biggie called Abi, Chimsom Chuka and Nomy to review the performance.
Biggie described the presentation as informative and praised the models, saying they “ate the looks” and could easily grace the front page of a fashion magazine.
He also commended Barry, Araga and Nomy for their work as stylists, describing their touch as magical.
However, Biggie pointed out that some of the looks did not fully match the eras they were meant to represent, particularly some of the wigs.
Despite the criticism, the housemates won their wager.
Flora immediately celebrated with Oyin while the rest of the housemates looked on.
8:00 pm – Wager win celebration sparks more tension
Flora and Oyin continued celebrating the wager win, with Flora telling Bluethopia not to downplay her friend’s effort and insisting that Oyin had played a major role in the victory.
Despite the win, the mood in the house remained unusually low.
HoH Abi did not appear impressed by the celebration and referred to Flora and Oyin as nuisances.
The pair kept singing and teasing, saying they were only getting started.
Even as Abi read out the pool party brief, Flora and Oyin continued making noise while the rest of the housemates watched the drama unfold.
The housemates eventually moved on to prepare for the Pool Party.
9:00 pm – Housemates make a splash at the pool party
It was time to cool off and celebrate as the housemates headed to the pool for some much needed fun. With music from different eras setting the mood, they danced, splashed around and let loose after their wager win.
10:00 pm – The pool party turns up
The party continued with plenty of dancing, grinding and good vibes as the housemates kept the energy going by the pool.
11:00 pm – Wager win exposes growing divisions in the house
Back in the house, Oyin and Ricky revisited the wager presentation. Ricky suggested that Chimsom Chuka and some of the others were not happy about the win. He argued that if Chimsom Chuka had been in charge of the presentation, he would likely have praised it more strongly than he did when Biggie asked him to review it in the Arena.
In the bedroom, Tram tried to get close to Temi Nkem, insisting that he only wanted a hug and not a kiss. He told her he missed what they had, but Temi Nkem shut it down, saying she no longer wanted him and could not keep going back and forth.
Upstairs, Abi, Bluethopia, Chimsom Chuka and Sheba discussed the growing tension. Chimsom Chuka maintained that if he truly had a vendetta against Flora and Oyin, he would not have participated in the wager. He also complained that whenever someone has an issue with Oyin, Flora automatically becomes involved, adding that he no longer intends to stress himself trying to call anyone for conversations.
Downstairs, the wager win remained the main topic as Abi, Flora, Nomy, Oyin and Ricky discussed how unusually low the house energy had been after the victory. Ricky noted that he had never seen the house react this way to a wager win.
Oyin openly told Bluethopia and Chimsom Chuka to avoid her in the house. She and Flora also questioned Bells’ reaction to the win, wondering why a friend would not appear happy for them. Oyin went further, describing Chimsom Chuka and Sheba as cunning and Abi as manipulative.
Upstairs, Abi and Bells continued discussing Flora and Oyin’s behaviour, while Bluethopia described Nomy as an instigator.
Despite finally winning their wager after last week’s loss, the celebration has been overshadowed by tension. Biggie’s house appears increasingly divided.
