Bag of Tricks: The week Biggie turned the Show Ya Sef House into one big mind game – BBNaija

News13 September 2026
From a shocking HoH twist and a disqualification to missing items that mysteriously reappeared, Week 7 lived up to its "Bag of Tricks" theme and kept the Show Ya Sef housemates second-guessing everything.

Big Brother promised a world of mystery, spectacle and surprise, and true to his word, nothing this week was quite as it seemed. Here is everything that went down.

Tram claims the HoH crown

The Head of House Challenge opened with a twist of its own: housemates were each handed a letter that, together, spelled out "TRICK", a fitting hint of what was to come. Abi, the outgoing HoH, was allowed to compete again but was buzzed out in the first round.

Round by round, the field narrowed until Sheba, Keivo and Chimsom Chuka were left battling it out, with Chimsom Chuka posting the fastest time to advance. But Biggie wasn't done: anyone whose letter had started with a "C" earned the right to challenge Chimsom Chuka afresh. That brought Abi, Bells, Temi Nkem and Tram back into the fight for the HoH crown.

An endurance battle followed, and it eventually came down to Abi and Tram. Tram outlasted her to claim his first HoH reign of the season, and he picked Flora to join him in the HoH Loft.

A Trick-or-Treat twist on live nominations

This week's live Nominations skipped the usual conspiracy hour entirely. Instead, red envelopes were hidden around the house, and every housemate except HoH Tram and the week's benchwarmer, Nomy, had ten minutes to find one and sit down without peeking inside.

Nine housemates found theirs in time, while five others, including Ricky (who appeared to have opened his early), were left without one and automatically joined the nominations pool. When the envelopes were finally opened, all but one read "Gotcha" except Keivo's, which read "Safe or not," earning him Biggie's praise as the holder of the magic card. It fell to Tram to use his Veto power on Keivo's behalf, and he chose to keep him safe. With that, everyone in the house was up for possible eviction except Keivo and HoH Tram.

Nomy's privilege gets revoked

Following nominations, Nomy landed in serious trouble. Big Brother confronted her over her conduct in the Arena when she was announced as this week's benchwarmer, questioning why she had abandoned her bib and bench without explanation.

However, it wasn't Nomy’s first rodeo. She had already been issued a strike for repeatedly ignoring Big Brother's instructions, one he'd made clear was her final warning, and this time there was no room for negotiation: Biggie reminded her that being in the house is a privilege, not a right, and revoked hers on the spot. She was given just half an hour to pack up and leave, ending her run in the Big Brother Naija house for good.

Housemates lose their wager

This week's wager task called for a full circus and musical showcase, and the housemates threw themselves into rehearsals, songs and costumes for days. Come showtime, Abi hosted as ringmaster, Temi Nkem played the witch, and Barry, Araga and Flora clowned their way through the performance.

Biggie had kind words for the effort put into costumes and makeup, and singled out Temi Nkem's performance along with the clowns' comic timing. But the verdict still went against the house; he noted that none of the acts actually tied back into their story's plot, and the wager was ruled as a loss.

Biggie's bag of tricks reveals lost belongings

Just when housemates thought the week's surprises were behind them, Biggie pulled his biggest trick yet. Tram, arriving last to a lounge gathering, was told to pick a bag, and inside were items that had vanished from the house at various points: Keivo's shoes, some wrappers, and more.

The reactions were priceless. Sheba hadn't even realised that her dress was missing, and Flora's face said everything before she said a word. Suspicion immediately turned to the Gambit, though Tram denied any involvement even as Chimsom Chuka jokingly floated the idea that Tram himself might be the mystery player.

Keivo wins the Friday Night Arena Games

The BetPawa Friday Night Arena Games saw housemates battle through four fast-paced rounds. After the intense games, Keivo came out on top as the overall winner, with Chimsom Chuka snagging the first runner-up spot.

A night of circus tricks

After the Arena games, dressed in black and white as instructed, the housemates were treated to a circus spectacle in the Arena:  jugglers, fire-eaters, cyclists, acrobats and a magician all putting on a show. Once the performance wrapped, the professionals stuck around to teach the housemates tricks. Chimsom Chuka, Abi and Keivo tried their hand at backflips, while Oyin and Chimsom Chuka picked up the basics of juggling before everyone settled in for a magician's card trick showcase. Back in the lounge, Biggie wasn't quite finished; Araga was handed one final trick of his own: make the house laugh.

Gbas gbos over cleaning duties

If there's one thing that can reliably set the house off, it's chores, and this week was no exception. When HoH Tram called for general cleaning and started assigning areas, Abi pushed back over being placed on Laundry duty, arguing she had already handled it before. Tram, visibly irritated, complained that housemates only ever have a problem with duties they personally weren't assigned.

The tension spilled over later in the kitchen, where Bluethopia took a jab at Tram — suggesting he'd only become HoH by chance and needed reminding of that before throwing orders around.
