Day 25 Live Updates: Teams collide over Wager task preparations – BBNaija

News20 August 2026
Both teams feel disrupted by each other, but only one team can win the weekly wager. How will their win affect the house dynamics? Here’s all that went down in the Show Ya Sef house today.

The week 4 wager task presentation is hours away, and the housemates'  tension is palpable as the two teams perfect their art showcase while dealing with conflicts internally and over snooping from the opposing team. With the team division, will both teams be able to see eye to eye and share their supplies when the winner is announced?

08:00 am: Wager presentation day begins
As always, the Show Ya Sef housemates kickstarted their day with a workout session, cleaning, and breakfast prep. Sheba also seized the moment to chat with Tram about their wager presentation. Sheba told Tram that his team is cheating and spying on her team's work. Tram pushed back, saying her team keeps disrupting and spying on their presentation. He specifically highlighted Oyin disturbing them in the garden. However, Sheba insists he is lying, as she believes it is his team who have refused to give them privacy.

09:00 am: Wager Task preparations continue
Chimsom Chuka, Temi Nkem and the rest of their team members gathered in the garden to finish working on their wager task props and presentation. While Sheba and her teammates did theirs in the lounge.

10:00 am: Diary sessions begin

Ricky was called in first, and he opened up about Kamsy's eviction, admitting it hit him hard and left him wondering what people had against her. He said many housemates judged her unfairly over her closeness with Chimsom Chuka and Gerard, and that he'd wanted to know her better himself. He touched on Neche's exit too, saying the house still treats it like a joke and that he half-expects her to walk back through the door.

On the conspiracy hour, Ricky said he chose to save Bells simply because he likes her, though he'd hoped to save Tram as well.

When asked about the prize money deduction, Ricky stated that he wasn't fazed by it, as he feels like the house isn't taking the game seriously enough and even joked Biggie should deduct another ₦5 million to wake people up. He also weighed in on HoH Abi, calling her leadership genuine rather than a power trip, and said Sultex's MIPOW win felt earned given how visible he was during the wager.

Sheba went in next, and when evictions came, she expressed that she was indifferent about Kamsy's exit, saying she never sensed Kamsy truly wanted to stay in the Show Ya Sef house. Neche's voluntary exit, however, was awkward, especially after Ebuka referenced something she'd reportedly said to Goddessa about Neche during the live show. She said she even floated the idea that Neche could return via a twist.

Sheba went on to name her closest allies in the house: Bells, Goddessa, Tram, and Temi Nkem. She also added that Aikou is growing on her, though not yet an ally. For Sheba, the prize deduction stung given the money involved, and she called out Sultex for a toxic streak of competitiveness, saying he seemed to needle her about losing the wager despite her team's effort. Her diary session ended on an emotional note as she teared up talking about missing her son and hoping he's proud of her.

11:00 am: Diary sessions continue

In his diary session, Sultex admitted he's running on little sleep but staying positive, saying he doesn't really have a choice and is hoping his team pulls off their presentation well and secures a wager win. He called prep exhausting, calling out Tram and Bluethopia for not pulling their weight, but stayed confident the team would win tonight, just like he predicted last week.

He reflected on Kamsy's eviction, saying he was just starting to bond with her and thought she'd be safe a while longer, like Mercedes. His takeaway: what housemates show inside the house isn't always what the public sees outside. On Neche, he said the house was shocked, recalling she'd told him days earlier that her friends weren't supporting her, though she never named names. He wondered if that, or an unspoken emergency, contributed to her exit, and admitted even he got emotional over it.

Sultex backed the prize money deduction, saying the house brought it on themselves for not following Biggie’s instructions. He also weighed in on house dynamics, dismissing Sheba and Goddessa's bond as more about envy than real friendship, and his decision to distance himself from Oyin and Flora, accusing them of manufacturing drama for the cameras, something he said he's told them directly and doesn't regret.

On HoH Abi, he said she's trying, but she can be overly sensitive. However, he was surprised by his MIPOW win, chalking it up to his visible effort during the wager rather than genuine popularity. He said he generally assumes people don't like him, so he's never disappointed, and questioned whether the vote truly reflected support, pointing out that Sheba, Goddessa, and Chimsom seemed to want control themselves.

12:00 pm:  More Diary sessions

Chimsom Chuka described his week as one filled with lows, moments of disappointment in himself, but his Power Oil task win balanced it all. He said he and his team are working hard, though today he's feeling sleepy and stressed.

When asked about Kamsy’s eviction, he initially laughed, saying it was unexpected but he didn't feel much, calling her funny and revealing she'd chosen not to pack because she simply didn't want to. He touched on having once had feelings for her, saying that's since been resolved, though her exit indirectly affected Bluethopia, someone he cares about, which left him feeling bad.

However, Neche's exit hit differently. He said he was genuinely shocked watching her lose her composure, and it broke him to see people he cares about in that much pain with nothing he could do. He initially thought her gathering the house was a joke, and while he respects her decision, he said he really wanted her to stay. He expressed gratitude for retaining immunity again this week, saying he's still finding balance between having fun and taking the game seriously, and credited God and Big Brother for the opportunity. On the prize deduction, he said the money isn't his priority, but supported the penalty, arguing the housemates had gotten careless with rules like not wearing mics, and that ₦5 million deduction was fair.

On HoH Abi, he admitted he misjudged her early on, feeling she puts up walls, but said he plans to talk to her after the wager since he sees parallels to his own HoH reign, where he also came off as "too much" at times. He believes her heart is in the right place, even if her delivery isn't always great.

He also opened up about his clash with Oyin, explaining she'd poured water on his bed during a dispute over shared task space, and admitted he'd retaliated by disturbing her sleep before deciding to be the "bigger person" and de-escalate. He called himself petty for how far it went, but said it's better late than never to fix it. He closed on an emotional note, saying he misses his family deeply.

1:00 pm: Nomy's concession is delivered

The housemates continued with wager prep, and Abi was summoned by Biggie. She returned and gathered the housemates into the lounge, and Nomy was asked to read out Biggie's read, which was assigned to her. It revealed that following Nomy's apology to Biggie, Big Brother has made a concession: she is no longer required to sit on the Bench or wear the Bench Warmer bib.

Instead, Nomy may sit wherever she chooses in the House and show off her style by wearing whatever she wants. However, there is one condition: a sample write-up has been provided on the first page of a provided notebook. Nomy's task is to copy the sample exactly and fill the entire notebook.

2:00 pm: Wager task rehearsals are in session

After the read, the housemates were asked to go to the arena to practice for the upcoming wager task presentation. There were two rehearsals: Sheba and her team: Yusuf, Abi, Flora, Oyin, Aikou, Keivo, Araga, Ricky, and Barry went first, followed by Chimsom Chuka and his team: Bells, Goddessa, Gerard, Cassi, Nomy, Temi Nkem, Tram, Bluethopia and Sultex.

3:00 pm: Oyin returns the missing spoons

While wager task preparations continued, Oyin passed through the garden on her way to the kitchen to return the spoons she had hidden from the housemates. When Goddessa, Bluethopia and Nomy spotted her, they didn't give her an audience, but amongst themselves they stated that they were unimpressed with her antics and vowed not to give her the reaction she was looking for.
