Day 59 started with cleaning, wager preparations and an early MIPOW campaign. Even though the MIPOW title hasn’t come with immunity for some weeks now, this doesn’t deter the housemates from fighting for the title.
Here’s what’s happening today in the Show Ya Sef house.
8:00 am: Tram makes his MIPOW case
The housemates returned from their morning gym session and got straight into cleaning.
Ricky and Sheba were in the kitchen while Barry and Tram took out the refuse. Tram and Ricky continued tidying the kitchen before Ricky moved to arrange the dining area.
Tram told Keivo that during his own HoH reign, he felt some housemates deliberately refused to clean just to frustrate him, only to later offer advice on how he should run things.
With MIPOW clearly on his mind, Tram revealed that Biggie had asked about it during his diary session yesterday. He joked that he could clean for Biggie and said he did not want to see Bluethopia win because he felt she had not done enough this week.
He also dismissed Temi Nkem as serious competition, arguing that she might clean today and stop tomorrow.
Tram and Keivo later reflected on the previous day’s BetPawa Task. Keivo wondered how things might have played out if Abi, Goddessa and Neche were still in the house, while Tram remembered Neche as someone who could complain about feeling unwell but still switch into competitive mode once a task began.
9:00 am: Sheba fine tunes her wager monologue
After getting dressed, Barry headed into the kitchen to prepare something to eat, where Tram proudly showed off his cleaning.
He asked Barry if he could spot the difference, pointing out that the microwave was now clean enough to see a reflection in it. When Sheba walked in, Tram showed her the fridge, microwave and counters, but she said she could not see any difference.
Sheba later sat alone in the garden working on notes for tomorrow’s wager presentation.
Aikou joined her and reviewed what she had written, making a few edits to the introduction. When Sheba asked him to help refine it further, Aikou told her the piece already sounded like her and reflected the way she naturally speaks.
10:00 am: Biggie surprises Flora with her favourite song
Oyin and Sheba chatted in the garden about the audition process, with Oyin revealing that her sister researched on her behalf and even started buying luggage before she entered the house.
Their conversation was interrupted when Flora’s favourite song suddenly started playing.
They rushed upstairs, where Barry and Tram were already trying to wake Flora. Sheba and Flora screamed in excitement when Flora realised Biggie was playing her song.
Flora immediately started dancing and continued celebrating even after the others left the Orange room.
She later joined Oyin and Sheba in the garden still buzzing from the moment, declaring that everybody in the house had now heard her name and joking that this was how Biggie should wake her up every day.
As the morning settled down, Flora helped Oyin with her makeup.
11:00 am: Wager prep and downtime
The housemates settled into a quieter morning, with some grooming themselves, others catching up on sleep, and a few working on their wager monologues.
12:00 pm: Diaries begin with Oyin
Oyin opened diary sessions in high spirits, saying she has felt blessed since surviving Sunday’s eviction, which she had fully prepared to leave for. She said the messages from home made her feel even more accomplished.
On the recent evictions of Bells, Chimsom Chuka and Yusuf, Oyin said nothing surprises her anymore because nobody is immune from eviction.
She named leading a previous wager as one of her proudest moments, especially hearing Biggie tell her “well done.”
On the housemates who shaped her journey, Oyin named Flora first, saying she does not know how she would have coped without her. She also mentioned Aikou for calming her down during tense moments, as well as Sultex and Tram, whom she sees as protective brother figures.
Oyin said she is trying to avoid unnecessary fights and create better memories, although she will still defend herself if provoked. She also said that some housemates are going all out for MIPOW this week, but she is not convinced enough to vote for them.
On life as Benchwarmer, Oyin complained about the apron size and the burden of carrying the bench around. When Biggie offered her the choice of a punishment or a BB Bucks refund, she quickly chose to keep carrying the bench.
1:00 pm: Bluethopia opens up about Chimsom Chuka
Ricky said he is feeling positive about the week and that the message from home gave him hope.
On the triple eviction, he said Chimsom Chuka’s exit surprised him the most. While he did not want Bells and Yusuf to leave either, he acknowledged that everyone eventually has to go.
Asked who had the biggest impact on him, Ricky named Abi. He said she changed the way he sees certain things and made him comfortable enough to be vulnerable. Despite knowing she is married, he admitted he kept pushing in the hope she would let him in. He said he misses her and appreciates how she influenced his perspective.
Ricky also admitted he has been thinking about Barry’s mysterious diary room decision during Monday’s Nomination Show. He suspects it was bigger than a regular save and replace. Biggie repeatedly reminded him that he should have made a stronger pitch to Barry.
Bluethopia entered next and said Chimsom Chuka’s eviction shocked her because she believed he had a stronger chance of staying than she did.
She admitted his absence has been difficult because he was always by her side, but said time moves quickly in the house. Bluethopia also reflected on her growth, saying she is proud of keeping her emotions in check, watching what she says and appreciating the small wins she has had.
When Biggie reminded her that she had come close to winning HoH more than once, she agreed.
Bluethopia named Chimsom Chuka, Barry and Temi Nkem as the housemates who have had the biggest impact on her journey. She said Chimsom Chuka helped her see herself differently, while the message from her sister came at exactly the right time after his eviction and gave her the push she needed for the week.
2:00 pm: Keivo gets emotional 🥺
Barry said life as a finalist feels different, revealing that he has finally unpacked his suitcase because eviction is no longer a concern.
On the triple eviction, he said Chimsom Chuka’s exit surprised him most because he expected him to be one of his strongest competitors in the finale.
Barry named winning the Supa Komando Task, becoming HoH and securing the first finalist spot as some of his proudest moments. He also highlighted Aikou, Abi, Bluethopia, Cassi as housemates who impacted his journey, describing Abi as his safe space.
The message from home meant a lot to him, especially seeing and hearing from his mother. For Week 9, Barry’s biggest goal is to win the arena games.
HoH Keivo was the final housemate in the diary room. He admitted he was irritated after some housemates approached Biggie with a request without going through him first. He said he was taking time to process it before addressing the issue so he could keep his anger under control.
On the messages from home, Keivo said he had mentally blocked out home to avoid getting emotional, although he appreciated the messages and admitted he misses home.
Chimsom Chuka’s eviction also surprised him because he considered him a strong and competitive housemate. Asked who had impacted his journey most, Keivo said it had largely been about himself, although Aikou has become more significant lately.
Keivo said he is enjoying his winning streak and plans to win as much as possible, regardless of how anyone feels about it.
He also reflected on his interactions with Temi Nkem and his argument with Oyin, admitting he regretted some of the things he said. Keivo became emotional as he opened up, taking a moment to compose himself before leaving the diary room feeling lighter after finally expressing some of what he had been holding in.
3:00 pm: Wager rehearsals take over
The housemates gathered in the lounge to rehearse their wager monologues and fine tune their presentations.
4:00 pm: Eviction talk
While Barry cooked in the kitchen, Bluethopia, Temi Nkem, and Sheba debated who might leave on Sunday, with Sheba noting that, unlike the guys, the girls' safety isn't guaranteed. Bluethopia, admitting she'd been overthinking things, urged the group to let go of the worry and enjoy the week instead.
5:00 pm: A new task brief
Bluethopia opened up about missing Abi, while in the HOH Lounge, Keivo joked about wanting a washing machine and dishwasher in his own home someday, and Aikou noted he's been sleeping better as the house empties. Barry and Flora got a head start on their wager presentation. Keivo later called the housemates into the lounge to read the Livewell task brief, where housemates are going to put their culinary skills, teamwork and cookware knowledge to the test. After the read, the house was split into teams via a lucky dip: Team Livewell Emerald (Flora, Oyin, Tram, Keivo, Sheba) and Team Livewell Burgundy (Temi Nkem, Bluethopia, Aikou, Ricky, Barry).
6:00 pm: The Task begins
Housemates collected their Livewell merchandise, changed into it, and read through their task booklets before heading to the Arena to be briefed by Biggie. For the task, each team is required to cook two meals: Jollof rice with chicken, and Egusi soup with beef and poundo. After cooking, each team has to plate their meals and present them for judging.
7:00 pm: Teams take turns in the kitchen
The Livewell cook-off rotation kicked into gear, with housemates swapping in and out of the kitchen in pairs: Ricky and Keivo, then Flora and Barry, then Oyin and Aikou.
8:00 pm: Final kitchen shifts before plating
The rotation continued as Tram and Temi Nkem took over cooking duties, followed by Keivo and Barry closing out the shift before both teams began plating their meals for presentation.
9:00 pm: Team Livewell Emerald wins
Teams headed to the Arena to present their meals. Team Livewell Emerald walked through their egusi and jollof rice, with Keivo summarising the benefits of each dish and Flora highlighting the value of using Livewell pots. Team Livewell Burgundy followed, with Aikou introducing their menu, Ricky breaking down their jollof rice, Bluethopia detailing her marinated chicken, and Barry presenting their egusi soup. The scores, however, told the story: Team Livewell Emerald won after securing 40 points.
10:00 pm: Post-task banter
Reflecting on the result, Keivo admitted he genuinely thought Team Burgundy had a shot, crediting a late reshuffle at the cooking station for tipping things in Team Emerald's favour. Clean-up took over the kitchen, with Temi Nkem, Bluethopia and Tram tidying up.
11:00 pm: Late-night radio games and script writing
Bluethopia lobbied for votes ahead of her Sunday birthday, hoping the house would make it a gift. The mood turned playful as Barry took on the role of radio host, interviewing Oyin in the Garden while Aikou looked on, and later Sheba flipped the script to interview Bluethopia in the Blue Bedroom. Meanwhile, Oyin and Flora both got to work drafting their scripts for the upcoming wager.
