With influence, strategy, and experience on her side, Wura’s courtroom battle is already tilting in unexpected directions.
Five reasons Wura might walk free again – Wura

It is one thing to commit murder. It is another thing entirely to think you will get away with it. But if there is anyone who has turned escaping consequences into an art form, it is Wura.

Now she is in court over the murder of Mr Kuti, and somehow, things are already looking... complicated for everyone else involved. So the question is simple: is justice finally catching up with her, or is this just another chapter she is about to rewrite in her favour?

Here are five reasons things might not go the way everyone expects.

She has a lawyer who does not play small
Wura’s first advantage is her legal representation. This is not your average courtroom lawyer. This is someone who treats winning like a personal mission. No hesitation, no moral confusion, just results. And if there is one thing we know about Wura, it is that she does not surround herself with people who play fair. She surrounds herself with people who play to win, even if it means bending a few things along the way. Allegedly.

Jeje is on the stand, and under pressure
The only real eyewitness to the whole situation is Jeje, who also happens to be her cousin. Now, under normal circumstances, that would be a problem. But Jeje is not exactly operating independently right now. He is very much under Wura’s influence. So instead of giving a damaging testimony, he has taken the stand and denied everything. Completely. Like nothing ever happened. At this point, even the court might be wondering if they are watching the same story as everyone else.

Tumi is being painted as the problem
Then there is Tumi. Instead of being seen as a grieving daughter seeking justice, Wura’s legal strategy has shifted focus onto her. Now the narrative being pushed is that Tumi has a personal vendetta and even attempted to harm Wura herself. It is a bold move. And if it sticks, it changes everything. Because in a courtroom, perception can sometimes do as much damage as evidence.

Even family loyalty has limits… Or does it?
Things took another turn when Lolu, Wura’s own son, showed signs that he might testify against her. Naturally, Wura did not take that lightly. In fact, she immediately instructed her lawyer to deal with it. And when Wura says “deal with it,” nobody in that room is ever entirely sure what that means… but it never sounds gentle. Let us just say family ties are being tested in ways they probably were not prepared for.

This is not her first battle
And finally, perhaps the most important factor of all. Wura has been here before. Three seasons of survival, manipulation, loss, and power struggles have led to this moment. She has faced worse odds and still come out standing. So now, standing in a courtroom with her freedom on the line, she is not starting from scratch. She is starting from experience. And that alone makes her dangerous.

So, what happens next?
With a strong legal team, controlled witnesses, shifting narratives, and a long history of surviving impossible situations, Wura’s case is anything but straightforward. Is this the moment she finally faces consequences? Or just another trial she finds a way to outsmart? One thing is certain. This courtroom is not ready for how messy this is about to get.
