After whipping up a meal for her people (that didn’t quite land as planned), she sat down with Bright Morgan for a heart-to-heart about her past. This conversation came hot on the heels of Mide dodging a couple of kisses from Bright Morgan earlier in the day – a move that had eyebrows shooting up across the house. They’re in an official ship, so why the cold shoulder?
Instead, Bright Morgan got a plate of slightly underwhelming rice, which he ate with love anyway. Dede chimed in that it wasn’t “too bad,” and with bellies full, the real feast began – the sharing of hearts.
Mide opened up about how her ex left her emotionally scarred. She described the relationship as a rollercoaster: one moment sweet, the next moment cruel. “He would be angry and it would release a beast,” she revealed, explaining how she was emotionally abused with hurtful words and unpredictable behaviour. It left her confused, feeling like she was dating two different people. Still, she acknowledged the lessons learned – chief among them, gratitude. Perhaps, she mused, that same gratitude will anchor her new relationship in the house.
While Mide was pouring her heart out to Bright Morgan, Dede was also having a moment of honesty with Koyin. Earlier, their playful back-and-forth ended with middle fingers exchanged in jest, but the interaction clearly didn’t sit right with her.
Dede asked Koyin if he could speak to her in a normal, respectful way rather than with aggression. Koyin laughed it off, saying he only behaved that way because he was comfortable with her. She wasn’t having it: “You can’t speak to ladies like that – just guys.” To his credit, Koyin admitted he understood her point, though whether he’ll change remains to be seen.
This isn’t the first time Dede has stood her ground. Weeks back, she called out Jason Jae for rough interactions, including pushing and shoving. When she told him to stop, he did—but the end of that dynamic spelled the end of their relationship as well.
Between Mide sharing about her former ship and Dede standing tall, this day gave us plenty to chew on – beyond just the rice.
