Actress and model Nomzamo Mbatha hails from Durban in South Africa and has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Accounting from the University of Cape Town.

Mbatha’s star rose after making the ‘MTV Base VJ Search’ finals in 2012.

Her talent became noticeable even after she only made to the top three spot in the search.

In 2015 she appeared in the romantic feature film ‘Tell me sweet something’ which she received an AMAA nomination for Best actress in a leading role at the 12^th Africa Movie Academy Awards.

She has also starred in the South African feature film ‘the Jakes are missing’ as well as television series such as ‘Umlilo’, Close as well as ‘Isibaya’ portraying the role of Thandeka.
