Mampho Brescia

South African Actress, Presenter and Voice over artist, wife as well as mother of one, Mampho Brescia hails from Johannesburg, Soweto.

She is well known for playing the villain, everyone loves to hate, Iris on the Soap Isibaya.

Mampho has a degree in International Relations from Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Her first television break was in 1998 presenting a show called ‘Reality Check’, while her first acting role came in the form a guest starring role on the South Africa Soapy ‘Generations’.

This was followed up with freelance presenter work for DSTV’s Home channel, South African television drama series ‘Isidingo’, ‘Jacobs Cross’ as well as the German feature film ‘Traum Hotel’.

Mampho has also appeared in several television commercials, done several voice overs for numerous projects.

Then In 2008 she appeared in a Peter Jackson production the feature film ‘District 9’.

After the success of the film she moved and lived in America for four years, where she starred in a feature film called What to bring to America, starred alongside Dustin Hoffman in a TV series called ‘Luck’.

It was upon her return to South Africa that she joined the cast of ‘Isibaya’ after being invited to do a few screen tests.
