It’s Live Show Day and the housemates prepare to freshen up their looks. It is also Bluethopia’s birthday. Big Brother is providing professional hair styling, courtesy of Lush Hair, to help them freshen up them looks.
Here’s how the day went down:
8:00 am – It’s Salon-time
Head of House (HoH) Keivo woke the housemates up and told them to gather in the Main Lounge.
Once they were in the Main Lounge, he read the brief from Lush Hair. Oyin won the Lush Hair’s challenge of last week. Flora was so happy for her friend.
Big Brother brought professional hairstylists in for today, courtesy of Lush Hair, for the housemates. They stylists are in the Arena. Only the housemates who had washed and dried their hair, can go to the Arena to style and barbed their hair.
Bluethopia, Keivo and Sheba are in the Salon first. Bluethopia helped Sheba with undoing her hair and Keivo entered the Salon and does a dance for them.
Temi Nkem joined them and unbraided her hair, and Sheba asks Keivo to make her a cup of tea while Bluethopia washed Sheba's hair.
After a while, Flora entered the Salon.
Temi Nkem told them about Tram giving her 2.5k BB Bucks.
Oyin prepared to relax Flora's hair, and she advised her on how to do it. Oyin asked Flora if she trusts her or not.
Bluethopia danced as she washed Temi Nkem’s hair. Sheba washed Keivo's hair, and then later Keivo washed Barry's hair.
9:00 am – The professional hairstylists get their turn
Keivo walked in the Arena first to get his hair done professionally with Lush Hair.
Sheba followed and started getting hair done.
Bluethopia walked in looking cute for her birthday, ready to do her hair.
Tram told a hairstylist he wants to wash his hair and go back to get his hair cut.
10:00 am – More housemates get their hair done
Keivo finished his twists. Oyin came in the Arena and had a sow in done.
Flora started her sow in.
11:00 am – Salon-time continues
Sheba started sings with Bluethopia while having their hair done.
12:00 pm – Exit diaries start
Flora is the first one in the Diary Room. Flora told Big Brother that it's been a good week, because she had a good time, she hasn't fought with anyone, has been winning and sleeping well. She thinks she has done enough to earn a spot in the finale. She is not ready to leave yet; she wants to witness the last week.
She said the highlight of her week is her having fun, partying and playing games in the Arena. It would hurt to leave knowing she came so close, if she left tonight it would hurt her so much. Flora did a shout out to her friends and family and got emotional.
Ricky had his diary session next. He told Big Brother that he doesn't think anyone know what doing enough is but if he sees how far his came; he does deserve to be in the finale. He added that if he must leave, he is ready to leave. He’s grateful he came this far. Ricky said he wants to stay in the House until the end.
Sheba was next in the Diary Room. She believes she did enough to stay until the end and that she has showed herself. Sheba said if she would leave she would leave with a grateful heart. The highlight of her week was the Tuesday and Wednesday sponsored tasks, because her teams won.
Sheba said if she would leave tonight the thing that would hurt most would be knowing she came so close and leaving before the finale, it's like looking at the promise land and not going in there. She thanked Biggie for the opportunity to be in this house.
Aikou had his diary session next. He said he is doing well and hoping he will witness the finale week. He believes he did enough to be kept in the House. He is ready to leave since he stopped being the Gambit and he feels lucky he’s still in the House. According to Him, the highlight of his week is the Wager, he had to do a lot of things on the fly and people depended on him so much. It had given him meaning to assist with the closing speech and the fact that everyone’s hope was on him.
Aikou said coming so close to the end would be encouraging to him, but he would have loved to see the last week in the House.
Ricky and Tram had a back-and-forth in the Garden. Ricky told Tram that he will vote for Bluethopia the same way he is voting for Sheba. Tram said Ricky has been talking about the same thing and his tired of hearing it. Barry told Tram that Ricky is saying that Bluethopia deserves it more than him.
1:00 pm – More diary sessions
Temi Nkem told Big Brother she feels like that girl because she has new hair – she feels good.
She feels like she did enough to be in the finale. Temi Nkem said enjoys the House, the free food and stealing BB Bucks but she would be fine if she leaves but she will proud she made it this far without immunity.
According to her, the highlight of her week was the Travelbeta sponsored task. She said if she would leave tonight the thing that would hurt most would be leaving before the finale.
Oyin has her turn next in the Diary Room. She told Biggie she feels like every Sunday she’s nervous but this one is more intense, she never thought she would be here until now, she stayed until week 9. She has made peace with whatever happens, she has done her best.
Oyin said she has learned so much, she can now swim and she has been also enjoying Arena more this past three weeks. She said leaving before the finale would be hurtful for her. She added that when she got here, she didn't have hope but she kept on making it through to another; she is grateful to have made it to week 9. She wants to be the last one to go. The highlight of her week was to win tasks.
When it was Tram’s turn, he apologised for making Biggie wait.
He told Big Brother that he doesn't know what he’s doing, he’s just having fun and hopes he makes it to the finale.
Tram said if this is his last time in the Diary Room, he’s grateful, but he believes what’s his will come. He believes he’s doing what he needs to do.
He said the highlight of his week was yesterday when they did the Travel beta sponsored task, his team won. He hopes he travels from winning the Travelbeta. He would love to go with Flora, Oyin and Barry; they were in the same team and they are his people.
Tram said he wouldn't be hurt if he leaves, his mindset was to compete for the money and coming in the House with a bunch of people who are driven, he thought he would leave week 5 but he’s passed it. He is grateful and happy that he is in week 9. He would like to do something for Bluethopia with his BB Bucks even if they don't get along.
2:00 pm – Biggie gives Bluethopia her flowers on her birthday
The birthday girl is happy and excited. Bluethopia said her birthday wish was to get a birthday sash and a cake. She thinks she has done enough to make it to the finale, because she has been present and has been everywhere.
She Told Big Brother she is not ready to leave but if it happens she is mentally prepared for it.
The highlight of her week was the Wager – she really enjoyed the Wager because she got to know people's stories. Bluethopia said if she would leave tonight the thing that would hurt most would be leaving before the finale. Biggie gave Bluethopia a speech to celebrate her and then he said happy birthday.
Big Brother told Bluethopia that treats await her in the storeroom.
Bluethopia gets spoiled in the Main Lounge. The housemates gathered to wish her well and to talk about what they like about her. She collected hugs from them and then went to cut the cake.
Sheba and Temi Nkem went to the Closet afterwards. They joked about buying immunity and laugh about it. Temi told Sheba that Biggie didn't open the market because she's a thief and she has things to buy.
Temi also said that Ricky is missing 10k BB Bucks and says they think it's her. Sheba said they want to set a trap for the thief by tearing the BB bucks so they can catch here. Sheba told Temi Nkem to be careful next time.
3:00 pm – Getting ready for the big night
The housemates start getting ready for the Live Show. Barry sings while he is ironing his clothes. Oyin started doing her make-up. Temi Nkem sings while Flora is doing her make-up.
4:00 pm – Temi Nkem keeps her BB Bucks Secret
Temi Nkem is alone in the lounge, talking to herself as she cuts a slice of Bluethopia’s cake. She says she is not really a fan of coconut.
Outside, Tram asks Keivo who he thinks has been taking the BB Bucks. Keivo says he suspects more than one person may be involved.
Temi Nkem listens in and simply says, “Interesting.”
The conversation shifts to the Gambit, with Tram insisting Flora is definitely one of them. He then asks Temi Nkem again if she took the missing BB Bucks.
Temi Nkem denies knowing what he is talking about. When Tram asks what the point would be if she leaves tonight, she said that the only cards she has are American Express and Barclays.
Tram tells her he likes her and would not screw her over. Temi Nkem dares him to before walking away.
5:00 pm – Sunday live show nerves set in
Tram gets dressed in a black suit, earning compliments from Flora and Oyin.
Oyin admits she hates Sundays, while Flora reminds her that this is their final one in the house. Oyin said that if asked what she will miss, the arena definitely will not make the list, adding that she would rather face eviction than another arena game.
In the Blue Room, Temi Nkem and Bluethopia chat. They jokingly ask if Biggie is married before Temi Nkem tells Bluethopia she hopes she wins MIPOW. She asks Barry how he rated Tram, but he avoids giving an answer. Temi Nkem reassures Bluethopia that she will win.
6:00 pm – The BB Bucks mystery deepens
Tram tells Ricky that Temi Nkem mentioned Ricky was looking for 10K BB Bucks.
Ricky counts what is left in his locker and how much is missing. He and Tram agree they do not think one of the guys took it, arguing that a guy would probably have taken everything.
That leaves the women as suspects.
Tram says Temi Nkem knows he suspects her. He also jokes that this is what Ricky gets for “choosing” her, but Ricky insists he never chose Temi Nkem.
Meanwhile, Temi Nkem is having the same conversation with Sheba in the Blue Room. She recounts Tram confronting her earlier, while Sheba, who knows Temi Nkem took the money, laughs along.
Temi Nkem insists she is not a thief outside the house. They talk about Tram constantly saying he does not care about BB Bucks while still stressing over the missing money.
Sheba suggests Temi Nkem move the stash somewhere less obvious, warning that the closet and under the bed are risky hiding spots.
In the garden, the tension between Bluethopia and Tram resurfaces.
The pair revisit their previous issues but make little progress. Tram says Bluethopia still does not understand his point, which is why he feels they may never fully squash their beef.
Bluethopia eventually leaves the garden, while Tram stays behind with Ricky.
She then heads upstairs and explains her side of the situation to Flora and Oyin.
7:00 pm – Fake evictions
The live show begins with Ebuka getting straight to business as Ricky, Tram and Temi Nkem get fake evicted.
Tram is also announced as the week’s MIPOW winner, while Ebuka keeps the house crossing relatively light with questions for Keivo, Flora, Bluethopia and Sheba.
8:00 pm – The Top 10 are finally revealed
The housemates gather in the lounge looking tense as Biggie revisits Barry’s Ultimate Veto Power decision from Monday.
Moments later, Tram, Temi Nkem and Ricky return to the house. Sheba screams as the housemates rush towards them for hugs. Ricky gets emotional, while Tram and Temi Nkem immediately go to thank Barry.
Biggie asks Barry to repeat his decision before finally announcing that they are officially the Top 10 finalists.
Temi Nkem jumps up screaming, Bluethopia gets emotional, while Flora and Oyin clap and smile. Biggie tells them to take in the moment and appreciate how far they have come.
The mood quickly turns playful when Tram exposes Temi Nkem as the person behind the missing BB Bucks. Tram reveals how much she took from different housemates and tells them to change their locks.
Later in the garden, Tram and Oyin celebrate making the finale. Tram also reflects on winning MIPOW and shares what it felt like waiting outside after his fake eviction.
Keivo and Ricky discuss the MIPOW votes, with Keivo noting that some housemates who promised Bluethopia their votes did not follow through. Ricky is still trying to understand why Tram won.
Tension soon returns as Tram and Sheba argue. Tram says she talks to him like he is her son, while Sheba says she is over the issue.
Tram also goes back and forth with Bluethopia over their earlier disagreement until Temi Nkem steps in and suggests Bluethopia come upstairs with her.
9:00 pm – Finalist energy takes over
Temi Nkem is still buzzing from officially becoming a finalist.
She tells Barry, Bluethopia and Sheba that she cannot wait to get outside and check how many followers she has gained. Sheba is equally excited about making the finale.
Temi Nkem thanks Barry for his decision and says she wishes some of the evicted housemates could have made it this far too. She also admits she initially smiled when Ricky and Tram were called out because she believed they had genuinely been evicted.
In the garden, Flora, Oyin and Tram celebrate making the finale.
Sheba and Temi Nkem high five over the fact that they will now leave the house on the final day, while Ricky returns his suitcases to the locker.
Temi Nkem also declares that she wants to win HoH this week.
Flora finally lets the moment sink in, joking that she should now be introduced as “Flora the finalist.” She admits the earlier tension stopped her from celebrating properly before praising Oyin and their journey together.
10:00 pm – Biggie Introduces the Show Ya Sef Awards
HoH Keivo reads the brief for the Big Brother Show Ya Sef Awards.
Biggie tells the finalists that each of them has created memorable moments, built relationships, overcome challenges and left a mark on the house.
The housemates are given a list of award categories celebrating different personalities, qualities and contributions from the season. For each category, they must vote for one housemate, but they cannot vote for themselves.
Keivo distributes the voting papers and the housemates begin making their selections.
Biggie then delivers another brief for their final creative challenge: a Variety Show.
He congratulates the Top 10 on reaching Week 10 and the final week. With Nigeria’s Independence Day approaching, Biggie draws a parallel with the housemates also moving closer to their own independence from the Big Brother house.
There will be no wager this week. Instead, every housemate must prepare an individual showcase while working together to create one complete Variety Show.
11:00 pm – Tram and Sheba try to clear the air
Tram and Sheba revisit their earlier disagreement.
Tram explains that if they clash again, he may no longer try to resolve things because he feels Sheba does not always understand where he is coming from. He says criticism can sometimes feel like someone has already chosen a side.
He also revisits his disagreement with Bluethopia, saying she used the wrong words during their argument. Sheba reminds him that she told Bluethopia she was wrong too.
Tram says he is happy the show is ending because everyone will soon be free from constantly having to explain themselves. He adds that he respects Sheba deeply and does not want them repeating the same pattern from their previous fight.
Sheba reassures him that she has never seen or treated him like a son.
Keivo, Bluethopia and Ricky talk about making it to the finale.
In the garden, Oyin reflects on how unexpected it feels to still be in the house. Flora asks Keivo what he would have chosen if he had Barry’s Ultimate Veto Power.
Keivo says he would have picked Immunity For None.
Flora laughs and says she is glad their fate was not in his hands.
By the end of the night, Tram and Sheba appear to have settled their differences, while Bluethopia continues discussing her issues with Tram with Ricky.
