Chimson Chuka's reign as the first Head of House is already dividing opinion. While he's embraced the responsibility with confidence, some housemates believe he's coming on a little too strong.
Day 3 kicked off with the HOH taking charge: After Biggie summoned the housemates to come to the Arena for the second time, Chimsom Chuka started counting down, warning anyone who delayed that he will lock the Arena door. It was a clear sign that the Head of House intends to take his leadership role seriously, but not everyone is buying into his approach.
07:00 am – Workout time
Chimsom Chuka started the warmup session and he was not playing. After him, Barry, Ricky and Sultex took turns playing personal trainer to the group. Nomy confided in Goddessa about the fight that happened in the early morning hours. Nomy told her she will never speak to Ricky until he leaves the house. Goddessa responded by saying Ricky walks around thinking he’s Big Brother.
08:00 am – HOH addresses the fights and housekeeping
Shortly after the workout session, Chimsom Chuka met with the housemates in the Main Lounge to address some concerns. The concern about the used pad left in the bathroom came up, the fight about sleep, and kitchen duties were mentioned.
About the fight, Goddessa said she feels that housemates should let others sleep at night. Oyin said that people can't control themselves when it comes to them fighting, and that the fight should rather be moved somewhere else. Later, Ricky tried to defend himself to Barry and Aikou – about his fight with Nomy.
Goddessa took Chimsom Chuka to the side to talk about his role as HOH, him stepping on people’s toes and not involving Abi in his reign.
09:00 am – Housemates build connections
Martins, Oyin and Yusuf talk about life outside of the house and share what their future plans are. Goddessa talks to Abi about Araga moving too fast for her liking.
Temi Nkem and Aikou have a moment: he started teaching her to speak pidgin. He called her a fast learner. Goddessa, Abi and Nomy connect on friendships and how some people choose poor friendships. Goddessa explained how someone loves themselves is seen though their friendships.
10:00 am – Task on first impressions start
Chimsom Chuka called the housemates to the Main Lounge to read a task brief. He gave Abi the brief to read. The housemates start the task.
11:00 am – A quarrel started while the task is being completed
Temi Nkem and Bells go back and forth about Temi being disrespectful; Bells is defending Ricky. Nomy goes in on Bells. Ricky is just quiet. Tram tried to stop the fight. Later different housemates discuss either Ricky or Nomy.
Abi and Yusuf have a conversation about respect. He mentioned that he felt like Abi disrespected him, but then he tried to make a joke about it.
12:00 pm – Diary room opens
Biggie starts with Kamsy. Mercedes had her turn afterwards. They were probed about which housemate made a good impression on them, and their thoughts on The Gambit.
Kamsy said Chimsom Chuka made the biggest impression on her, but she is disappointed that he is no longer playful since he took on the HOH role. She admitted who she has a crush on. Mercedes is in love with Aikou’s mind.
1:00 pm – Friends turn into foes
Keivo and Neche get their turns in the diary room. Keivo said Chimsom Chuka made a good first impression on him. He admitted that he was surprised that everybody enjoyed his cooking the previous night. Neche spoke about her issues with Nomy and said she can no longer call her a friend.
2:00 pm – Is Ricky guilty?
Nomy and Ricky each had their turns to explain to Biggie about their fight. Biggie asked Nomy during her diary session if Ricky was guilty of disrupting her sleep. When it was his turn, Ricky told Biggie that he thinks the issue that happened with Nomy was unnecessary.
The person who made the biggest impression on Ricky is Yusuf, because of their interest in filmmaking. Nomy likes Temi Nkem, because of her good vibes.
3:00 pm – Talks about the Wager Task underway
Sultex gets his turn for diary confessions. He sounds optimistic about his experience in the house and can’t wait to showcase more of his dance moves. He said his goal for this week is to sell himself as an entertainer. The men sit around the table in the lounge discussing everything, from the Wager to relationships. Meanwhile, the ladies are in the bedroom try to prep for the Wager.
4:00 pm – The Wager prep is going slowly
Oyin told Biggie that they were given tasks for the Wager and she hopes that everyone pulls their weight for the good of the group. Biggie asks if her group has a leader yet? Oyin said the person who has ideas is Sheba. She also mentioned Neche as a possible leader. The diary session took a hilarious turn when Oyin asked Big Brother for a loan in case they failed the wager. When Biggie asked how she planned to repay the loan, Oyin jokingly offered to wash the dishes. Biggie then asked if she'd become a Ninja, to which she responded with an emphatic "No!" 🤣
5:00 pm - You’re invited
The Show Ya Sef housemates received an invitation to their first official House dinner. The brief, read by Chimsom Chuka, explained that the dinner was an opportunity for everyone to get to know one another beyond first impressions. The only requirement? Come dressed in your best with a touch of gold. While the house buzzed with excitement, Sheba quietly told Sultex she wasn't entirely convinced. She suspected the dinner might be a ruse by Biggie to get the housemates talking about the impressions they had written about each other earlier in the day.
6:00 pm - Let’s go get ready
Biggie announced that dinner was just an hour away, and the house instantly transformed into a glam room. Makeup brushes were out, outfits were being ironed, and everyone was putting the finishing touches on their looks. The anticipation for the evening was palpable.
7:00 pm - Let’s feast
Dinner was served, and what a feast it was! Biggie pulled out all the stops to welcome the Show Ya Sef housemates to their first official dinner. Dressed to impress in glamorous outfits with a touch of gold, the housemates enjoyed delicious food, great music, and lively conversations as they settled into the evening.
8:00 pm - The Headline game
Once dinner was underway, Chimsom Chuka read another brief from Biggie introducing the Headline Game. One by one, the housemates had to select three headline prompts and complete each by naming the fellow housemate they believed best fit the headline, before explaining the reason behind their choice.
9:00 pm - Let the quarrels begin!
The peaceful dinner atmosphere didn't last long. Shortly after returning to the house, an argument erupted between Bells and Chimsom Chuka. Bells accused the Head of House of enforcing the rules selectively, claiming that while some housemates were reprimanded, others, particularly Tram were given a free pass. Elsewhere, Neche and Ricky also found themselves at odds. Neche admitted she felt disrespected, saying she believed they shared a genuine connection but was beginning to question Ricky's emotional intelligence. Nomy's name also came up during the heated exchange, suggesting this budding relationship may have already hit its first rough patch.
10:00 pm - The Neche and Nomy conversation
Hoping to clear the air, Neche and Nomy retreated to the bedroom for a private conversation. However, the discussion appeared anything but productive, with Neche doing most of the talking and barely giving Nomy the chance to respond. At one point, Goddessa asked "What's the bone of contention?" Meanwhile, Tram had the best seat in the house, quietly lying on the bed and soaking up every bit of the unfolding drama without saying a word. 👀
