Game on: A week to create the season’s identity – BBNaija

News08 August 2026
Week two in the Show Ya Sef house saw the housemates step up their game, welcome the first female Head of House, suffer their first wager loss and, of course, deliver plenty of drama along the way. Here’s everything that went down in the week that was.
week two in the show ya sef house

The honeymoon phase is officially over in the Show Ya Sef house. After a first week of introductions, first impressions and settling into life with a group of strangers, week two came with a clear message from Biggie: it’s time to play the game.

The housemates were challenged to step out of their comfort zones, make their personalities count and start figuring out where they fit in the bigger picture. With alliances beginning to take shape, personalities becoming harder to hide and everyone trying to make their mark, week two truly lived up to its theme: Game on.

Week two’s theme: “Game on”

After introducing themselves and getting acquainted in week one, the housemates were challenged to start showing themselves in week two.

The theme was "Game on", and for their wager presentation, they were tasked with creating a season identity for Season 11. The entire house had to work together to deliver a cohesive, creative and entertaining presentation that captured the spirit of "Show Ya Sef."

Everyone was part of one team and had to decide among themselves who would take responsibility for each element of the presentation. They could divide the work however they wanted, but every housemate was expected to participate.

Biggie’s conspiracy hour twist

Biggie shook things up with a twist that gave the housemates permission to do something that would ordinarily be forbidden: conspire.

The housemates were first given time to think about possible allies before entering the conspiracy zone, where they had two minutes to deliberate and strategise over who they wanted to save from possible eviction.

They were then called into the diary room one by one to nominate three housemates they wanted to see safe.

When the dust settled, Barry, Bells, Cassi, Goddessa and Tram were saved. However, HoH Sheba had the power to change the outcome and exercised her Veto, swapping Cassi out for Chimsom Chuka.

Prize money fluctuation and MIPOW

Biggie also delivered some major news, the season’s ₦100 million cash prize is no longer guaranteed. The housemates have now been tasked with protecting the prize money.

And there was more. The Most Influential Player of the Week (MIPOW) is back! Every week, housemates will score their fellow contestants based on their influence in the house, with the housemate who receives the highest overall score crowned MIPOW.

Sheba makes history as the first Female HoH

In week two Sheba emerged as Head of House, becoming the first female HoH of the season. While HoH came with bragging rights, the power did not automatically guarantee access to the HoH Loft. Just like the previous week, a lucky dip determined who would enjoy the luxury. Sheba drew Cassi’s name, making him the lucky housemate who got access to the Loft. Cassi then chose Nomy to join him.

Aikou and Flora discover they're the Gambit

While the audience learned the identities of the Gambit during Sunday’s Live Show with Ebuka, Aikou and Flora had to wait until Biggie revealed the twist to them individually in the diary room.

Aikou took the revelation in his stride, but Flora's reaction was much more emotional. She broke down in tears as she admitted that becoming a Gambit was something she never wanted. Biggie encouraged her to compose herself before she left the diary room and issued a serious warning that revealing her Gambit identity to anyone in the house would result in automatic disqualification.

The First wager loss

The housemates' first wager presentation as a collective ended in disappointment. Biggie's criteria went beyond what they created; he was also watching how creatively and collaboratively they worked together to bring their idea to life.

The preparation process was far from smooth, with disagreements breaking out between Cassi, Bluethopia and Temi Nkem, while Martins and Ricky also had their own heated exchange. Sheba repeatedly found herself stepping in to calm tensions and remind the housemates of the bigger picture.

When presentation day finally arrived, the housemates took their performance to the arena and gave it their best shot. Biggie commended their commitment and teamwork but ultimately found their presentation lacking in coordination, creativity and imagination.

The result? Their first wager loss of the season.

The house was anything but peaceful

With a group of strangers living under one roof, disagreements were inevitable and week two delivered plenty.

Bells and Nomy, Oyin and Mercedes, Cassi, Bluethopia and Temi Nkem, as well as Martins and Ricky, all found themselves caught up in heated exchanges during the week.

And the drama didn't stop there. Following the Friday night Arena Games, Cassi and Goddessa had their own disagreement, while Oyin and Mercedes found themselves having issues with each other again. Then came Nomy and Tram, who exchanged some choice words of their own.

With personalities becoming more pronounced and patience wearing thin, the house is quickly proving that the fight for the spotlight is on!

Mercedes takes the arena games crown

If week two belonged to anyone, the women certainly made a strong case for it.

Mercedes emerged victorious in the arena games after putting up an impressive 105-point score, making her the first female arena games winner of the season.

Whether through strategy, relationships, competition, creativity or conflict, everyone is beginning to make their mark. And if week two is anything to go by, the game is only getting started.
