Day 14 Live Updates: From party afterglow to eviction day prep – BBNaija

News09 August 2026
The morning after the Saturday night link-up comes with sleepy housemates, salon glam and plenty of last-minute preparation as the Show Ya Sef housemates get ready for tonight’s live show. With eviction night looming, the housemates reflect on their journeys so far.

The Saturday night link-up may be over, but the Show Ya Sef  housemates barely have time to recover. After a night of dancing, partying and letting loose, Sunday morning brings a very different mood as the reality of another live show sets in. Tonight could change the dynamics of the house once again and the housemates know.

8:00 am – The morning-after blues

It’s a serious snooze fest in the Show Ya Sef house as the housemates remain in bed following a long night of partying at the Saturday Night Link-Up.

Biggie eventually sends music into the house to get them moving. A few housemates respond to the wake-up call, getting out of bed, packing up and beginning preparations for tonight’s live show.

9:00 am – Salon doors open as Sunday glam begins

The salon opens for business, and Abi is among the first to make her way there, getting the space ready for the day's grooming session.

Meanwhile, Araga approaches Goddessa in the kitchen to apologise, telling her that he wants to be there for her but will give her some space for the day.

Upstairs, Yusuf helps Bells loosen her hair, while Goddessa opens up to Abi and Sheba about her situation with Araga. She reveals that she believes Araga likes her but feels his ego may be getting in the way.

According to Goddessa, she has only just met Araga and thinks he needs to take things easy. She also mentioned that Araga was upset after she went against his wishes at the link-up and danced with some of the male housemates. For Goddessa, the issue comes down to trust. She believes Araga needs to trust her enough to make her own choices.

10:00 am – Lush Hair brings the glam

More housemates make their way into the salon as professional hair stylists from Lush Hair get to work.

From hairstyling to grooming and shaving, the housemates begin their transformation ahead of the evening's live show. With possible eviction awaiting them, looking good is clearly part of the assignment.

11:00 am – Exit diary sessions begin

With the live show drawing closer, the exit diary sessions begin, giving the housemates a chance to reflect on their time in the house and what they think could happen if they leave tonight.

Bells is first into the diary room and describes her journey as messy but says she believes the housemates would miss her if she leaves. She identifies Nomy as the one person she hasn't been able to connect with, saying Nomy often keeps to herself.

Sultex is next and is particularly excited about finally getting his hair done after previously asking Biggie to bring professional hairstylists into the house. He also names Nomy, Neche and Mercedes as some of the housemates he believes would not miss him if he leaves.

Abi's diary session follows, with the housemate describing her journey as rough at the beginning but saying things improved once she stopped getting stuck in her head and allowed herself to have fun.

Araga and Martins also take their turns in the diary room as the housemates continue to prepare for an evening that could change everything.

12:00 pm – Diary room confessions and unfinished conversations

Oyin stepped into the diary room and described her journey in the house as a roller coaster of emotions. She reflected on how some of the people she initially considered friends no longer fit that description, although she admitted she enjoys the chaos that comes with life in the house. Oyin believes Flora is the only housemate who would genuinely miss her if she leaves tonight, saying she feels the rest of the house doesn't particularly like her.

Aikou also had an interesting diary room session, he told Biggie he’s trying to act as if he’s going to be evicted tonight and he has his shoes on to play the Gambit. Biggie, however, simply told him to stand by for his mission.

Temi Nkem brought her usual boisterous energy to the diary room, describing the house as having too many "wishy-washy" people. And when Biggie announced that her session was over, Temi Nkem wasn't ready to leave, cheekily telling Biggie that she wasn't finished talking to him.

1:00 pm – Eviction nerves and a secret mission

Yusuf admitted that he was feeling tense about the outcome of tonight’s live eviction show. After forming connections with several housemates, he hopes he isn't the one whose journey comes to an end tonight.

Flora received her first Gambit mission from Biggie, she must find creative ways to smuggle every wrapper in the Big Brother house into different spaces where Biggie can retrieve them. She has the entire week to complete the mission without getting caught.

Nomy also entered the diary room seeking answers after being left out of the previous night's party. She asked Biggie why she wasn't allowed into the party room and wondered if she was being punished.

Biggie questioned her about why she didn't attend Thursday's pool party. Nomy explained that she had been dealing with cramps, but Biggie reminded her that she should have informed him. He also clarified that, housemates don't get to pick and choose which parties they attend.

Nomy apologised before leaving the diary room.

2:00 pm – Yusuf draws the line with Bells and Tram

Yusuf opened up about his growing frustration with Tram, saying he does not appreciate being disrespected. Although he and Bells have shared a kiss, Yusuf now prefers that they remain friends.

He explained that Tram's repeated comments about taking his “babe” have not sat well with him, and he believes Tram's confidence comes from his connection with Bells. Yusuf revealed that he pulled Tram aside for a chat to make it clear that he wasn't comfortable with the way Tram spoke to him.

Things became even more complicated because, according to Yusuf, Bells hasn't exactly helped matters. He felt she didn't clearly shut down Tram's claims about her showing interest in him. For Yusuf, the situation has now made one thing clear, Bells was never his to begin with.

3:00 pm – Grooming, game reflections and a reality check

The housemates continued their grooming sessions as Biggie announced that the salon would close in one hour, giving everyone a final window to get ready for the evening.

Ricky and Yusuf had a reflective conversation at the swing in the garden about their experiences in the house and what they hope to be remembered for. Ricky admitted that there is more to him than what he has shown so far and said he believes in redemption. Yusuf reminded him that there is no time to waste and encouraged anyone with something they want to do in the house to do it now.

For Ricky, the experience has also brought one important realisation - this is not a vacation.
