We’re not bragging, but the Big Brother Naija house has given birth to many love stories that have left an indelible mark on our hearts—from the passionate and tumultuous, to the sweet and enduring, let's delve into the iconic romantic ships that we’ve witnessed in the Biggieverse.
BBNaija See Gobbe , the beginning
Starting from the top, Big Brother Naija See Gobbe gifted us with the complicated and emotional relationship between Bisola and ThinTallTony. Their connection was intense, filled with ups and downs, and kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Despite their deep connection, Bisola and ThinTallTony eventually split up. You win some, you lose some.
Season 2 also gifted us with the endearing friendship-turned-romance between Marvis and Efe. Their journey portrayed the beauty of a deep connection that gradually bloomed into something more profound.
Double Wahala, double the love
Big Brother Naija Season 3 probably brought us the most ships. Eventual winner Miracle and Nina aka Mina were quite the item in the house. Then there were BamBam and Teddy A. The latter was a true match made in reality TV heaven. Bamteddy’s undeniable chemistry blossomed within the Big Brother Naija house, captivating viewers with their deep connection and shared passion. After the show, their relationship continued to thrive, culminating in a beautiful wedding and a bundle of joy; actually two.
BamBam and Teddy A's journey reminds us that true love can be found even in the most unconventional circumstances. Although it didn't work out for Miracle and Nina, we do know that Nina is now married and welcomed her first baby. Love always wins.
With double the dose of everything on Double Wahala, we can’t leave out much-loved CeeC and Tobi. Their love-hate relationship kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Their fiery clashes and passionate moments created one of the most memorable dynamics in Big Brother Naija history.
Pepper Dem’s Mercy and Ike
Mercy and Ike’s fiery connection, filled with playful banter and unwavering support, made them a fan-favourite couple. Their love story continued even after the show, with the couple showcasing their affection for each other on social media.
Lockdown with OzoNe
Then there was Nengi and Ozo aka “OzoNe” on Season 5. Ozo's affection for Nengi and her initial hesitation, created an emotional rollercoaster that was truly unforgettable.
Shine Ya Eye on romance
We can't talk about Shine Ya Eye ships without mentioning Saga and Nini. These two were a sweet pairing that seemed to have genuinely connected from the start. Where Nini was, trust and believe Saga was there. Who can ever forget Saga's reaction when Biggie played a prank on the housemates and had Nini disappear from the house. Truly memorable. Another Shine Ya Eye couple that had everyone talking was Liquorose and Emmanuel. These two were always at each other's side in the house and fans couldn't get enough of their Emmarose. Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye also introduced us to the passionate yet tumultuous connection between Wildcards Maria and Pere. However, before this ship could even sail, it was marred by drama and misunderstandings, leading to heartbreak when Maria left.
Groophy and Shella Level Up
In the latest edition of Big Brother Naija “Level Up” Groophy and Shella kept us on our toes. Lovebirds Sheggz and Bella, aka 'Shella' connected almost immediately and proceeded to spend the rest of the season glued to each others hip. It took a while for Groovy and Phyna, aka 'Groophy', to connect, and when they eventually did, they were inseperable. We're not too sure what's happening on the outside, but a little birdie tells us Shella is still together, while Groophy has hit a little bump on the road.
