Follow everything unfolding on Day 5 as Ricky explains his fallout with Neche, housemates continue unpacking Team Nurture's wager defeat, Flora defends her wrapper and Biggie refreshes the house rules.
Ricky, Neche, Wager loss

The dust may have settled on Team Nurture's wager loss, but the conversations certainly haven't. From analysing what went wrong during the debate to kitchen banter, budding tensions, and a refresher on Biggie's house rules, the Show Ya Sef housemates had plenty to unpack as they eased into a new day.

8:00 am – Wager post-mortem and housemates begin to open up

The day began with Head of House Chimsom Chuka gathering the housemates in the lounge to brief them on housekeeping, including instructions to gather their bed linens for washing. Once that was done, some housemates got busy cleaning the house while others settled into conversations.

Upstairs, Abi and Araga shared a heartwarming chat about the origin of his name. Araga explained that it was derived from his surname before revealing that he dreams of becoming a proud girl dad to two daughters. Their conversation later shifted to how the housemates were gradually coming out of their shells, with Abi pointing to Gerard as someone who initially seemed reserved but has become much more expressive.

Elsewhere, Bells and Oyin revisited Team Nurture's wager performance, trying to pinpoint what cost them the win. Their conclusion? There were simply too many "ogas" (leaders) on the ladies' team, making it difficult to work together effectively.

Meanwhile, Chimsom Chuka, Gerard, Kamsy, Neche and Ricky discussed what they believed Biggie expects from wager presentations. Ricky suggested the ladies focused more on glamour and theatrics than the substance of the debate.

9:00 am – Kitchen reviews and more wager reflections

Breakfast conversations quickly turned into food critiques as Sheba gave Temi Nkem feedback on the custard she prepared the previous day, suggesting it needed a little more water to achieve the right consistency.

Taking the feedback in stride, Temi Nkem confidently announced that she'd be making noodles for the entire house the following day. Sheba's hilarious response? “Can you leave us out of this, do we have to do this?"

For someone who openly admits she isn't much of a cook, Temi Nkem certainly isn't giving up on her culinary ambitions. 😂

Later, Abi and Sheba revisited the wager loss, agreeing that some members of their team didn't take the debate seriously enough.

10:00 am – Recovery mode after the pool party

Following the previous night's pool party, several housemates opted for a slower start to the day, catching up on sleep while others got themselves ready.

Flora spent some time discussing her upcoming talent showcase with Keivo, while in the garden, Sheba admitted to Nomy that she was still struggling to get over the wager defeat, describing herself as a sore loser.

11:00 am – Nominations, near arguments and Biggie's rulebook

The garden became the centre of conversation as Chimsom Chuka, Goddessa and Ricky imagined just how chaotic things would become if Biggie ever decided to reveal nomination choices to the entire house. Chimsom Chuka remarked that it'll be worse if they let them watch the nominations live. Imagining a scenario where the housemates could see exactly who nominated whom.

Elsewhere, Temi Nkem and Tram had a brief disagreement after Tram made a comment about "having the last laugh," which Temi Nkem interpreted differently. Never ones to miss potential drama, Bells and Flora jokingly encouraged the pair to fight.

Back inside the house, Chimsom Chuka gathered everyone for another important briefing, reading out Biggie's house rules on properly handling kitchen utensils, avoiding communication with the Ninjas, and refraining from using sign language to communicate with fellow housemates.

12:00 pm – Ricky explains himself while Flora defends her wrapper

Still trying to make sense of his fallout with Neche, Ricky sat down with Chimsom Chuka, Martins, Sheba and Temi Nkem to explain how a simple misunderstanding over beds and sleeping arrangements spiralled into a much bigger disagreement.

Elsewhere, Oyin approached Flora with a rather unusual concern - whether tying a wrapper around the house violated Biggie's dress code.

Flora was quick to defend her choice of clothing, insisting that her wrapper didn't fall under lingerie or nudity and therefore complied with the rules. She also made it clear that she'd have a problem with anyone who suggested otherwise.

1:00 pm – Clearing the air and fresh food drama

The afternoon kicked off with Chimsom Chuka and Bells finally sitting down to address the tension from Wednesday's clash. The conversation came after Bells accused the Head of House of enforcing the rules selectively, claiming some housemates were held accountable while others got a free pass. The pair appeared determined to put the disagreement behind them.

Elsewhere, another house issue was brewing - this time over food. Sultex pointed out to Bluethopia that she seemed unusually emotional about the situation after she complained to both him and Sheba about how Barry served the meal he prepared for the house. Bluethopia wasn't pleased that, despite informing Barry since the previous day, she ended up with the bottom of the pot.

2:00 pm – Flirting allegations and mixed signals

Abi and Goddessa found themselves discussing Barry, with Goddessa playfully describing him as a flirt. She jokingly pointed out that although Barry had cooked for the entire house, he hadn't made any special effort to bring her food.

Moments later, however, Goddessa shifted her attention elsewhere. She was shown with Araga where she lay down beside him, and casually rested her leg on him, leaving us wondering whether the pair are back on track after their recent rocky moment. 👀

3:00 pm – Bluethopia finally decides to eat

Following a ranting session with Chimsom Chuka and Sheba about Barry and her food woes, Bluethopia finally sat down to eat alongside Nomy — a change of heart after initially rejecting the meal Barry had prepared.

4:00 pm – Prep begins for the season's first Arena games

The Show Ya Self housemates received their customised jerseys as excitement built ahead of the first Friday night arena games — the countdown was on to see who would come out on top.

5:00 pm – Friday night arena games begin

Biggie welcomed the housemates into the Arena and laid out the rules for the season-long competition: every Friday, housemates will face challenges designed to test their cognitive and physical abilities, with top performers rewarded weekly and an overall winner crowned at the end of the season.

6:00 pm – Temi Nkem is first in line

The search for the King and Queen of the Friday night arena games kicked off with Temi Nkem, who tackled the four rounds of challenges but got buzzed out after ten minutes. Aikou followed and also failed to finish in time. Oyin, however, powered through and conquered the challenge in 7 minutes, 49 seconds. Keivo, Nomy, Araga, Neche, and Mercedes all beat Oyin's time — but Barry remains the one to beat, finishing in a fast time of 2 minutes, 23 seconds.

7:00 pm – Sultex takes the lead

Cassi, Kamsy, Gerard, Goddessa, Martins, Flora, Ricky, Bells, Tram, and Bluethopia competed next in that order, but it was Sultex who stole the show, setting a stunning record time of 2 minutes, 9 seconds

8:00 pm – Chimsom Chuka wins

It's a week of wins for HoH Chimsom Chuka, as he emerges as the season's first champion of the Friday night Arena games. Elsewhere, Nomy and Temi Nkem have a candid conversation, with Nomy airing her grievances about Ricky and Temi's involvement in the matter.

9:00 pm – Yusuf and Bells get closer

Yusuf opens up to Bells about the sting of not securing a single win in his first week in Biggie's house. Bells reassures him, encouraging him to stay optimistic. The pair get cosy in the garden, their conversation drifting from the other housemates to relationships and beyond.

11:00 pm – Nomy opens up to Goddessa

Following her earlier chat with Temi Nkem, Nomy turns to Goddessa to talk through everything that transpired, seeking a second opinion on how to handle the situation.
