Eviction Sundays are always filled with tension, nerves, and speculation in Big Brother Naija’s house. But this week, Biggie decided to put the housemates on the spot by asking them a tantalising question in the Diary Room: If you had the power, who would you evict? The answers were as revealing as they were varied, showing the alliances, rivalries, and personal grudges brewing behind closed doors.
Tracy, feeling nervous but grateful for her time in the house, admitted that she hasn’t connected with everyone. She settled on Dede as the person she would evict, simply because they’ve never really bonded. Kola, reflecting on his week and acknowledging a few bumps with housemates, pointed to Sultana as his choice. Since their disagreement after the roast, they haven’t spoken, though he insists it’s nothing personal.
Sultana, in her candid session, revealed a mix of competitiveness and pettiness. She would evict either Bright Morgan – because she feels he’d pick her first in any challenge – or Kola, who she believes played dirty during the roast. “Kola is a woman’s person. He talks like a woman,” she said, dismissing his sincerity. Kaybobo had a clear target: Koyin, who had allegedly disrespected him and even taken his eggs. Imisi, still haunted by past back-and-forths, said she would evict Rooboy, citing personal history and unresolved tension.
Some choices were purely strategic. Jason Jae would evict Thelma Lawson, seeing her as strong competition, while Big Soso would also target Thelma Lawson, claiming she wasn’t bold enough to stand her ground. Others went by personality clashes. Koyin would evict Kola due to ongoing gossip issues, Dede would evict Big Soso because they simply don’t get along, and Isabella chose Tracy, admitting she finds her boring.
Thelma Lawson would evict Bright Morgan, seeing him as a threat, whereas Rooboy would pick Isabella – not personal, just competitive. Ivatar, feeling overlooked, would evict Thelma Lawson because she is too loud and clearly competition. Some were guided by irritation or clashes of energy. Denari would evict Joanna due to her confrontational nature, Joanna would pick Kaybobo simply because they do not click, and Bright Morgan would evict Sultana, labelling her a “snake” whose energy he doesn’t like. Doris, frustrated with recent losses, would also evict Thelma Lawson, citing her as a competitor.
It was fascinating to see the blend of strategy, emotion, and personality at play. From past grievances to perceived threats, the Diary Sessions offered a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the housemates’ minds. Whether these hypothetical choices would translate into real evictions is another matter entirely, but they certainly give viewers plenty to talk about.
In the end, the Diary Room proved once again that Big Brother’s house is as much a battleground of personalities as it is a game of skill – and every housemate has their sights set on survival, in one way or another.
