A 24-hour channel, Blitz broadcasts four ‘sports news’ bulletins per hour.  After each bulletin Blitz broadcasts sports-specific highlights packages.

A 24-hour channel featuring live sports. After a live rugby event on a Saturday, the full game is re-broadcast on Sunday & Monday. Highlights are broadcast throughout the week.

A 24-hour channel featuring live sports. Cricket highlights are broadcast one hour after the conclusion of live matches in the same series. These are broadcast again the day after and in the build-up to the next match.  Weekend Formula 1 races are rebroadcast on Monday night and again on Tuesday morning on M-Net.

A 24-hour channel, ESPN broadcasts live and taped sporting events and competitions as well as sport news and information.  Events that take place live overnight are generally re-aired the next afternoon or evening.

ESPN’s flagship program SportsCenter (International and US editions) provides top sport news and information along with ESPNSoccernet Press Pass, Around the Horn, Pardon the Interruption plus sport-specific magazine shows such as Tennis Central, Planet Speed, Spirit of Yachting and ICC Cricketworld. 

Repeat Pattern: 

A 24-hour channel with six or seven hour blocks of programming repeated each weekday. Premiere showings are generally between 17.00 – 00.00 on weekdays, though weekend scheduling varies.

Channel Content: 

Dedicated to classic sports and sporting matches (ie not live),, including Premier League football; cricket; rugby; UEFA football; FIFA World Cup football; boxing; tennis; golf; extreme sports. The channel philosophy is to complement current sporting fixtures by showing related classic sports. Programming includes a selection of archive matches, documentaries and premiere shows made in-house.
