Decoder Care Plan
Why do I need cover?
What would you do if your decoder was stolen, struck by lightning, damaged in a fire or was faulty? Are you able to replace it? Have you ever thought of insuring it?
A Decoder Care Contract (DCC), will for a nominal monthly fee per decoder, ensure that you have an insurance policy to cover you in the event of loss of or damage to your decoder.
What does the DCC cover?
MultiChoice approved serialised decoders, providing you with:
- NO CHARGE FOR STANDARD REPAIRS (the decoder must be intact, not in pieces)
- Cover against fire, lightning, explosion and theft (official documentation reflecting the police case number and bearing the official stamp of the police station at which the theft/loss was reported and I.D must be supplied)
- A carry-in and swop on faulty decoders ( after 3 months of being insured)
- You can hand in your decoder at any MultiChoice Agent or Branch and a replacement decoder will be made available to you within 4 working days, subject to terms and conditions
SALIENT EXCLUSIONS
- Decoder Care Contracts are only applicable to MultiChoice approved serialised decoders
- Malicious damage to the decoder
- Repair claims only applicable after 3 months insured
- Accessories i.e. remote control units, keyboards, modems, TV LINK etc

What does the DCC cost?
Insure your MultiChoice approved serialised decoder for a monthly cost of:
- Analogue R 8.55
- Single view R20.00
- Dual View R25.00
- PVR R35.00
- HD PVR R35.00
All prices include VAT.
