Helpful Hints

YOUR ACCOUNT
When calling the MultiChoice Contact centre always have your account number and or smartcard number on hand. This will assist our Call centre representatives in assisting you in a timely fashion and verifying your details, are resolving your queries

BILLING
MultiChoice bills its subscription fees 1 month in advance. A billing cycle is the date that your account is billed for your next subscription fee. This is usually the date that your account is activated. This date can however be changed to suit your needs.

If you account is paid via debit order, any day of the month may be selected for the amount to come off your account. However, there are only two dates each month whereby MultiChoice sends information to the various banks to collect debit orders. This is called a mag tape run. This run occurs on the 7th for subscribers paying between the 15th and the end of the month, while the mag tape run for the 21st covers subscribers paying between the 1st and 15th of the following month.

If you pay your account in cash or via internet bank transfer at Absa, your payment will reflect on our systems within 15 minutes. For your convenience, if your services have been disconnected and you have paid the correct amount to Absa, we will reconnect you automatically once the payment reflects.

You will receive a notification via sms or a decoder pop-up, there is no need to call the Call Centre!

DICOM LINE
Many MultiChoice customers contact us using their cell phones, which becomes very costly. In order to assist in reducing these costs, MultiChoice has introduced the Dicom Line.

The Dicom line is a cell phone number that is routed to cell phone towers and directly to MultiChoice. The Dicom line to be used to contact us is 083 900 3788 (DStv)

Standard Cellular Rates apply to customers who call the Dicom number. This means that the cost of the call is more economical than dialling a land line directly.
