True, acceptance speeches are often the least interesting part of the Oscars. But that’s not to say they haven’t produced their share of memorable moments.

We’ve collected some of the most memorable for our Oscar Acceptance Speech mashup:

Good evening ladies and gentlemen; members of the Academy.

I would like to begin tonight by snogging Halle Berry.1 Also, if I kicked you in the back of the head on my way up to the stage, I apologize.2
 
Now that that’s out of the way, let me say this: woohoo! Yeah baby, yeah! I did it baby!3 I’m the king of the world!4 I feel so humbled to have been chosen tonight, I can hardly believe it’s happening. In fact, could somebody please doublecheck the envelope?5

I would now like to thank everybody I’ve ever met in my entire life. 6 Thank you to the Academy. Thank you to my fellow nominees whose grace and elegance and beauty and talent make me sick,7 my mom and dad for turning me on to such a groovy profession,8 my agents, writers, caterers, directors, lawyers, drivers and pets. And thank you Ray Charles for living.9

[Pause for a good cry] 10

I’m sorry, this moment is just so much bigger than me. 11 It isn’t like I imagined it would be in the bathtub.12 Kate Winslet made this look so f***ing easy.13

[Cry some more, occasionally giggle hysterically through tears]

I do love it up here though.14 Am I allowed to say I really wanted this?15
Actually, I was considering sending Sacheen Littlefeather in my place as a protest, but now I’m rather glad that I came in person.16 I've wanted more than anything to have your respect. The first time I didn't feel it, but this time I feel it, and I can't deny the fact that you like me, right now, you like me!17
