The first Forbes list of Africa’s wealthiest people has been released.
The combined wealth of the top 40 richest people on the continent has a combined wealth of $4.9billion, says
Forbes Magazine

Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote tops this list with an estimated fortune of $10.1 billion, reports the publication.
The list is dominated by men, with not one woman making the list. However, Africa’s 40 richest fortune is more than Thailand’s richest 40, but less than Taiwan’s top 40.
According to this list, Egypt has the most billionaires on the continent, seven, primarily from two families, the Sawiris and the Mansours.
