Michael Ealy stars in M-Net’s new cop show, Common Law.

My first thought when I saw Michael was, what arresting eyes you have…followed quickly by hey, are those green or blue?!

But once I was able to look past his obvious charms, I realised he’s really rather talented.

On the big screen
Michael has kept us entertained in some pretty major films. We felt sorry for him when he played former street thug Ricky Nash in Barbershop because Ricky just couldn’t do anything right.



But Michael definitely did right by us when he revved that Toyota Supra, and our engines, playing Slap Jack in 2 Fast 2 Furious.

He also played Ben Thomas, Will Smith's "brother" in the heartbreaking film Seven Pounds.  But thank goodness it’s not always drama, drama, drama as Michael managed to make us laugh in Think like a Man when he tried to win over the heart of independent woman, Lauren.


And on TV
Michael was nominated for a Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for the series Sleeper Cell and later appeared in The Good Wife as attorney Derrick Bond.



In music videos
Michael played Mariah Carey’s hot love interest in the hit song Can I Get your Number from the album The Emancipation of Mimi.


And also stood in as Beyonce’s love interest in Halo. His appearance in this video apparently sparked some jealousy from Jay Z...


Is Michael single?
I bet all you ladies are wondering whether Michael is single. While he has been romantically linked to famous beauties such as Halle Berry and Eve, he is currently rumored to be dating his Think like a Man co-star, Taraji P Henson.
