There’s something special about a beautiful woman starring opposite one of Hollywood’s most talented acts, which makes one forget the A-list star and ask who's that girl?

Well, the beautiful girl is Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and she stars opposite Kiefer Sutherland in the much anticipated new drama Touch, which starts on M-Net tonight at 21:30.

The British actress may not yet be a household name, but her star is rising, and we’re sure you may have seen her in quite a few productions on DStv.



She may be British, but Gugu has strong African roots. Her real name is Gugulethu. Her mom Anna is a British nurse and her father, Patrick a South African doctor.



Gugu was the envy of many women, when she was seen in the M-Net Series drama Undercovers as Boris Kodjoe’s wife.



She was cast opposite fabulous Oscar-winning pair Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in Larry Crowne, as the free-spirited student, Talia Francesco.



Gugu became a household name in her country, for her roles in the TV series Doctor Who and Spooks (renamed MI-5), both these shows are currently being screened on BBC Entertainment, channel 120.
