Hollywood celebrities are noted for cozying up to other celebs. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spring to mind, as do Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds; Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, and of course Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - to name but a few. And none of those pairings is or was either partner's first co-celebrity co-nuptialisation. (Though we're much too polite to suggest it's unlikely to be their last, either.)

So when someone pretty, famous and fabulous settles down with a non-celebrity - or "civilian", as we like to say - our hearts melt a little, even if it means we probably won't be seeing them in the headlines again too soon. Perhaps Matt Damon was feeling blue one evening and needed to step out, or maybe he had a hard day at the office. And maybe he had something to celebrate, and thought "Good, will go hunting at a bar", and struck up a conversation with the no-nonsense drop-dead gorgeous lady behind the bar, and before he knew it his heart had been stolen by the woman of his dreams. We'd watch that movie! But who knows. However they met, one thing’s for sure, the couple are as in love now as ever and have four kids together.



Patrick Dempsey married his stylist Jillian Fink
It was love at first style for dashing Patrick Dempsey. He booked an appointment with Jillian and there was no turning back. The female Grey’s Anatomy fan base must definitely be thankful to Jillian for keeping him looking so dapper.

These two are a match made in... well..., a florist shop, literally. Maybe a tad desperate, Marcia made the first move and jotted down her phone number for her soon-to-be husband after they met at a flower shop. We're not sure she's cut out for the housewife life though, even if she plays one on TV!



Meryl Streep & Don Gummer
The couple met after Streep house-sat for Gummer, while he was out of town. He returned home early from his trip and they made swift work of falling in love. After a 33-year marriage, the couple have four children together and their union seems to be as strong as ever.




Kim K and Kanye West
Whoops, wrong couple. And besides Kim K being the bling and ka ching queen that she is, prefers someone whose bank account can compete with hers as the figures go on the up and up. Sorry Humphries.
