When we heard about Mariah Carey coming on board American Idol as a judge, we thought it was good, but knew it wouldn’t happen without a few special diva demands. Sure enough, those demands came in the form of the whopping $18-million paycheck she’ll reportedly be getting at the end of the season.

After the news that she’d be joining hit TV show was confirmed, speculation about the other judges continued apace. And in the end Keith Urban aka “that country star” aka Nicole Kidman’s man was named a judge, as was rapper/singer Nicki Minaj.

Now, Nicki’s known for having “swaggertude” in spades, and that definitely had everybody wondering whether there was enough room on one judging panel for her, Mariah, their egos and then little old Urban…. not forgetting Randy Jackson.

Well, it turns out there has been a lot of beef on set already – and auditions have barely begun!

The latest blowout happened in North Carolina this week, with Nicki dropping F-bombs and reportedly refusing to work with “her highness” Mariah. No doubt the editors will cut it down and beep out the profanities, but hey… everyone will be tuning in and therefore the ratings will go up rather nicely.
