South African golden boy Oscar Pistorius has jetted off to the United States.

The busy Blade Runner will appear on the popular late night talk show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Pistorius couldn’t contain his excitement as he shared the happy news on his Twitter page.


Besides his appearance on the show, Pistorius has been invited to see Jay Leno’s impressive car collection. Boasting over 100 cars from his Lamborghini to the McLaren F1, petrol head Jay Leno might take Pistorius out for a spin in one of the many exotic and classic cars.

The gold medallist’s popularity has grown since his participation in the London 2012 Olympics.

The 25-year-old sparked a twitter frenzy after his elimination in the 400m semifinals. Fans and celebs like Samuel L Jackson and Piers Morgan tweeted their admiration for the Paralympic golden boy.

Last year, French fashion and perfume creator, Thierry Mugler  made Oscar Pistorius a brand ambassador after creating the fragrance A*Men in celebration of his heroic achievements and determination.
