More channels for DStv Premium and Compact customers
One month after introducing new channels and additional HD channels onto the DStv platform, DStv is once again adding more value to its Compact and Premium customers. On 13 November 2012, DStv Compact and Premium customers will have more channels added to their packages.
DStv Premium customers will get seven additional channels - three music channels, a martial arts channel and three community-based channels. The music channels include VH1 Classic, which will replace the current VH1 on channel 323, KykNet Musiek (channel 146) and Mzansi Music (channel 321). The martial arts channel is Blackbelt TV (channel 129) and the community-based channels are Bay TV (channel 260), 1 KZN (channel 261) and Dumisa (channel 340)
DStv Compact customers will get seven additional channels - two more music channels (KykNet Musiek and Mzansi Music), a martial arts channel (Blackbelt TV) and the community-based channels (Bay TV, 1 KZN and Dumisa. In addition, they will get a documentary channel (Nat Geo Wild on channel 182).

All channels will be available on 13 November from 10am.

(replaces VH1 – channel 323) features rock, soul and pop artists from 60's, 70's, 80's and 90‘s music.
(channel 146) is an adult contemporary music channel, that will feature popular Afrikaans commercial artists and their music, featured music blocks, various music request and chart shows as well as related magazine shows.
(channel 321) is a 24-hour music TV channel that devotes itself to those all-time local and international familiar music favourites, those feel good, classic hits.
Nat Geo Wild
(channel 182) is a 24-hour channel from the National Geographic stable, dedicated to the best in wildlife programming, the power of mother nature and the future of our planet.
(channel 129) is a 24-hour martial arts television network airing martial arts fights, series, movies and animé.
(channel 260) programming incorporates a diverse local culture and religion and highlights community issues in local languages. Other genres include education, entertainment, healthcare and environmental affairs. This channel is broadcast out of Port Elizabeth.
(channel 261) is a channel that promotes local culture and showcase content from KZN. The channel broadcasts various children’s programming, youth, women, education, news & current affairs, sports, music & culture and gospel content.
(channel 340) is the home of praise and provides a platform for top traditional South African churches, their music, traditions & miracles.
