2013 Grammy Awards Winners XPress
55th Annual Grammy Awards Live
Lowdown on the Grammys
By

The world will be listening when the 55th Annual Grammy Awards go live on the 10th of February. The ceremony is set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
If you’re an eager beaver, you can watch it live on Channel O, Monday, 11 February from 03:00 or catch the repeat at 19:30 on Vuzu.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
The red carpet:
Rihanna looked amazing in her Armani gown last year and Katy Perry donned her smurf-inspired blue hair and dress. Those were just two highlights of many from last year’s red carpet.
E! Entertainment will be live from the Red Carpet again at the Grammys and the who’s who will all be walking sharing their fashion highs and lows with the world. Don’t miss it.
Host, LL Cool J:
Holding down the hosting duties once again is rapper/actor, LL Cool J. While his easy-to-like personality works on camera and his hosting skills are definitely worth mentioning, we do hope that next year the Grammys committee will mix it up a bit with a new face.
We reckon E!’s Terrence Jenkins or Justin Timberlake would do a good job.
Performances:
Rihanna, Alicia Keys, The Black Keys and Jack White. Those are just a few names that will be on stage at this year’s Grammy Awards and while we can’t wait to see them, there is are a couple of performances that we're really looking forward to.
Firstly, British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran will be teaming up with Elton John for a once-off performance. Remember when Elton and Eminem teamed up at the Grammys a few years back? Well that was one of the most talked about moments in the days after the ceremony, so we’re expecting something similar this year from the Ed and the Elton.
The big one, though, is a performance from
Sexy Back
singer, Justin Timberlake. The six-time Grammy winner will be performing on the Grammy stage for the first time in four years. His current smash hit,
Suit & Tie
will no doubt play a major influence in his set.
The winners:
Who will take home the top honours at this year’s awards? One person who is notably absent from the list of nominees is Justin Bieber. But, while you might be heartbroken and Biebs might not be in attendance, his protégé Carly Rae Jepsen is likely to take home a few Grammy trophies.
And, while Frank Ocean might have made headlines recently for his apparent scuffle with R'n'B star Chris Brown, he’s bound to see his name in lights when the winners are announced.
Who else do you think will walk home with the top honours? Join the conversation by leaving a comment below.
