Kerry Washington shows off her baby bump
Kerry Washington has been showing off her “best accessory”, that is, her baby bump.

The actress, who stars in the third season of The Fixer when it starts on Monday, 20 January, has been tight-lipped about reports she's expecting her first child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha.

But Kerry debuted her bump on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday, clearly showing in a seafoam Balenciaga gown and joking that she couldn't ask for a better "date" than her new addition.

"I also feel like I have the best date of the night, my little accessory here," she told E! News before entering the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Kerry, nominated for Best Actress in a TV Drama, wasn't the only star showing off her bump on the red carpet. Drew Barrymore and Olivia Wilde were also glowing as they showed off their growing stomachs.

Kerry, who wed American football star Nnamdi in June, did not appear to be joined by the athlete.

The couple's union came as a surprise as they managed to keep the nuptials under the radar.

Kerry recently explained she sees no need to make her personal life public.

“I learned through experience that it doesn’t work for me to talk about my personal life,” she previously told the US edition of Glamour magazine.

“I’ve had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine [InStyle Weddings, in 2005, when Washington was engaged to actor David Moscow]. But I couldn’t just turn around and say, ‘I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.’ So I just thought, ‘OK, no more.’”

Kerry shows off her good and bad side in The Fixer, which starts on M-Net on Monday, 20 January, at 22:30 CAT.
