With the competition now down to only five Idols, this week each remaining contestant will perform two songs in the Top 5 Spectacular, Rock Week.



Crushanda Forbes’s two songs are Kelly Clarkson’s Because Of You and the Tina Turner classic, Simply The Best.

Dave van Vuuren is performing Closer To The Edge by 30 Seconds To Mars and the Goo Goo Doll’s Iris.

For Freddie Van’Dango it’s the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Scar Tissue and the Rolling Stones classic, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.

Lefa Pike is rocking out to The Man Who Can’t Be Moved by The Script and, since it’s the band’s 40th anniversary this year: Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.

And Mark Haze is going large with Aerosmith’s Dream On and a mash-up of Def Leppard’s Pour Some Sugar On Me with Joan Jett’s I Love Rock ‘n Roll and more Queen: We Will Rock You, of course.

The show starts at 20:00 this Friday at the Home of Idols, the Mosaïek Theatro in Fairlands, Johannesburg, and the guest judges are the Locnville twins! Tickets are available from Computicket.
