Henry Cavill stunned by Immortals

Henry Cavill was “blown away” when he saw new movie
Immortals
for the first time.
The star plays Theseus in Tarsem Singh’s fantasy drama. The picture follows mortal Theseus who joins forces with Greek gods to defeat King Hyperion. Immortals boasts a star-studded cast with Henry joined by Mickey Rourke, Freida Pinto, Kellan Lutz, Stephen Dorff and Isabel Lucas.
Henry has revealed the finished movie looks better than he had ever imagined.
“It completely blew me away. The visuals of it are even better than I thought they would be,” he told
Collider
.
“When we’re shooting, Tarsem has his monitor and we’re seeing stuff as we’re shooting it. It looked beautiful then. It literally looked like a painting. And then to see everything with colour correction and the way everything’s been tweaked and the true mastery of what Tarsem does has been added to it, it really, really blew me away. It’s a stunning, stunning movie.”
Henry has also heaped praise on the sets for the movie.
The star says the scenery helped the cast to get into character and lose themselves in the script.
“The sets were absolutely fantastic and elaborate and that helps us as actors,” he explained. “If I might speak for myself, helped me as an actor enormously because we had our immediate surroundings and they were so well designed with such a fantastic attention to detail that you could quite easily, if you turned your back to the green screen portion and you just faced the village set, it literally felt like you were there!
“It was all really, really well done. It made an enormous difference to all of our performances, I believe.”
Immortals
is released worldwide from this week.
